I just bought a new S20 Ultra, Model SM-G988B/DS about 2 weeks ago and it's working perfectly fine, the android version is already upgraded to Android 12, the camera is fantastic, the selfie camera produces interesting and beautiful pics. The fact is samsung must have corrected the issues some people complained about because the phone will do a lot of software upgrading and installation automatically upon your first use, the battery life is quite encouraging, very slight difference in camera quality from S22 plus.
More so you can go to settings and get the best camera quality depending on what you want I am still exploring many new things on the phone.

I advise you to go for it, because its a very nice phone, I am enjoying my self here!

    The camera is awful! I had a motorola one zoom before and that phone is much better.

      Camera on this phone is horrible, it was marketed as camera phone, I bought it to replace my Xiaomi Mi8, but soon I found out that Mi8 with modded Gcam took much better photos from both rear and selfie cameras. Selfies are blurry - face is out of focus almost every time and phone focuses on background, group selfies are useless as well, because one face is in focus and all other faces are blurry - because you have to be in perfectly same distance from lens and in group selfies it's not possible. Zoom is useless too, max zoomed photos look like from cheap VGA Nokia phones from 15 years ago. Camera has horrible post processing, photo looks much better while being saved, processed photo loses details and is oversharpened. Xiaomi Mi8 with Gcam was better camera phone than this joke. Done with Samsung once again and probably forever after this experience.

                  Anyone complaining about the battery life is probably a lie.
                  I'm using this phone since the last 2 weeks, got a brand new in Canada with Snapdragon chip.
                  I'm getting 7-8h SOT that's way better than my other S22+ that only have 5h SOT.

                      I'm in doubt. Get this (Exynos in my country) or Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus 5G? A used S20 Ultra is just 70USD more in my country but the Redmi would be new.

Probably as ugly as the s5. For me only.

                            hi users i have a samsung galaxy s20+ amazing features cannot fault it. im upgrading to the newer of the family s20+ ultra but im hearing they have terrible battery life.
                            can anyone give me advise on the s20+ ultra 5g phone does it have many flaws, the obvious battery life is it really that bad. let me know if you have one and worth the update thanks fellow gsm arena users

                              Best phones by Samsung.
                              S10 series was good and still today very capable of doing what you want
                              S20 series is the s10 on steroids
                              Which is the perfect upgrade
                              S20 ultra 5g (my current device) is almost the apex of all devices, yeah its nice to see Samsung trying different things but as for the flip/fold & s21 & s22 series it's they (s21 onwards) is a massive downgrade.
                              Can see where they are going and potentially what they are trying to achieve, but are not doing themselves any favours.
                              Have seen people get the newer phones to be let down and this is sad to see for Samsung.
                              Whilst GSM arena have been great for specs etc
                              People need to research there new devices thoroughly and really need to ask themselves what they need it to actually do.
                              I could go on for a few days about this but for now farewell

Otherwise, this is maybe the last great flagship, the newer versions are all a downgrade in one or more elements

                                      The phone is as good as S21 and S22. Camera is not as bad as people make it out to be.
