NeonHD, 17 Jan 2021> 6.7" 1080x2400 Samsung is slowly starting to ... moreif loads of people complain about the SD card then Im sure they will put it back in (Sony reintroduced it with the Sony Xperia 1 ii)

    > 6.7" 1080x2400

Samsung is slowly starting to become more primitive with their releases, undoing every progress they have made with this lineup. The last "large" Galaxy flagship (excluding FE) to ever feature a 1080p screen was the Note 3, and that was way back in 2013.

IMO, the Galaxy S10 series was Samsung's last greatest flagship. They've peaked ever since their Galaxy S6, but now I feel they are slowly heading downwards.

And I hope the removal of the MicroSD slot isn't permanent. The only other time they've removed it was in the S6, but they added it back in in the S7. Let's just hope it will be the same story here too.

The last reason for me to buy a Samsung flagship smartphone was the presence of a micro SD card. Now that's gone too and there's nothing to stop me from buying a Chinese flagship model, which also has no SD card slots and costs half the price. Samsung is trying to match Apple, only Android flagship models are bought by tech freaks and not marketing freaks ala Apple.
Samsung has already tried to omit the SD card in previous S and Notes models. This failed miserably and was a disaster for Samsung. Then there was the battery disaster.
The S and Note 20 models were also a disaster from a technical point of view.
It seems that the Samsung strategists in Korea have learned nothing at all and add new mistakes to the old ones with every new model.

zleon, 15 Jan 2021The S21 lineup came to my country today and were displayed ... moreyou are right, i own s20 plus i downgraded screen resolution to fhd and dont notice any difference.

This may have a glass back and a larger battery capacity than the S21. But with a much larger 6.7" screen and yet using the same 1080p screen resolution as the S21, I see no reason to get this variant. I would bet that the battery endurace rating for S21+ is not any better than S21. If Samsung uses 1440p screen resolution for this variant, then I may have a second thought.

I agree about the plastic back part, and about the 10MP front camera, why do you even need such a high mp front camera?

First time i see a new phone worse than the one from last year. S20+ being a flop for sales, Samsung is probably not expecting much from this one too. I suppose they are keeping all the good stuff for next year and S22+ after the pandemic is over and people will be interested in phones again, travelling and taking pictures. Keep your money for the time being, this one ain't worth your cash...

And there should be no worry about losing your data saved in the phone because you can also upload all your data, pictures and files to the cloud so that you will have backup of all your data if ever you lose or damaged your phone.
