aaronwt, 29 Dec 2021Superior?!?! Even if I had the chance to get an iPhone for ... moreYes that's what every Android fanboy woulf say without even having used an iPhone once, but once they do they realize how much better it is
I used to be like that too until i got my first iPhone and now i'm never going back to laggy crashing Android even if they pay me

aaronwt, 29 Dec 2021That is what cloud storage is for. All my photos and videos... moreBetter? I don't have to pay $50 every month for 500 gb storage on my SD. I also don't need internet to use all my files, unless i spend 2 days downloading everything on my phone, but then that's pretty much the same as putting in an SD, except this time it's the phone's storage that's being used
So how is this better?

Ya'll... where's the headphone jack? Did you really stoop to not including a headphone jack? Just so you can make $6 more per person having to buy an adapter? There should always be a manual option when it comes to tech. Disappointing.

I like this phone.
But I'm very disappointed that Samsung has removed the heart beat monitor and records from the Samsung Health app.

tituskl, 28 Dec 2021The exclusion of microSD expansion here is a dealbreaker fo... moreSame here, i just got an Xperia 1 III and i'm never looking at Samsung again
I've seen a lot of outrage about it but i don't think they'll bring back the SD because back in 2015 only Apple and Samsung did it so Samsung lost a lot of customers but not everyone is doing it except for Sony

The exclusion of microSD expansion here is a dealbreaker for me. It's not a matter of expanding storage, necessarily, but the security of having all my important photos on a removable medium, so that if the device fails or breaks, I can simply pop the card out and have all of my important data, instead of having to send the device to data recovery professionals.
I remember when people got extremely upset at the removal of this feature back in the days of the S6. Why is it now a total footnote, if even mentioned at all?

John , 27 Dec 2021Yeah, especially considering how crappy this year is, they ... moreYes, perhaps the biggest crime here is how Samsung doesn't know how to make a good chip but still sells it in 99% countries while they keep the Snapdragon for themselves
Apple on the other hand makes chips that rival the Snapdragon or even surpass sometimes. iPhones are also much better optimized and won't lag or slow down like Android phones after a few years, i know this because i'm using both, i have a Galaxy S8 and an iPhone 6 and the iPhone works better now despite being 3 years older

Anonymous, 27 Dec 20212021 has been a rough year for Samsung making a crappy flag... moreYeah, especially considering how crappy this year is, they still do inferior chips while snapdragon variant were sold in the US, Korean, and whatever the country is called, which I'd say it's not really worth the switch! Imagine what 2022 might look like when they did release a samsung phone with snapdragon variant after a few backlashes of exynos that were reported several years ago!
I mean, Android phones aren't really that bad, they were still very good, but however, there is other people who were criticizing apple and samsung are going to do some research before deciding what their next device might be worth the extra money!

2021 has been a rough year for Samsung making a crappy flagship like this. Maybe they realized more people are moving to the superior iPhones so they stopped putting much effort into their phones

I will also get an iphone 13 pro max to have the best camera for content creation at some point eventually, but I doubt these improvements will make the s22 ultra a better phone than the previous generations when it comes to performance and battery life!

Anonymous, 23 Dec 2021I think this is the only honest opinion about the Samsung G... moreFirst if you whant battery to last longer you can change your display resolution. But is not ok a low resolution for a flagship .
And second S-series where never made to charge after 2 days. Everyone is charging everyday and you know that. But S-series in the past (except S21) had the best display quality for that time.
I had S21 in my hands and i don t like the display quality.
I love that they want to make s22 more compact , but stil FHD display is not ok .
Please let this specs with 1440p screen and i would buy it .
I am not really a big fan of Qualcomm's always on camera for Snap 8 Gen 1, so I hope that the Exynos version is actually good this year.
Exynos 2100 wasn't great but it certainly wasn't terrible like its predecessors, so I am a bit optimistic about Exynos 2200 with mRDNA.
i think it's time to leave samsung again. it gets more and more worse again. it's just hard to find a phone what is compact. and i don't know why everyone loves a television at the ear!
Yes same . me two living Samsung. Not going to buy Samsung. Again.
Moving to Sony. Sony offers 1440p display
Smaller screen size is good thinking, listening to feedback. Hope it won't get above 8mm thickness and width hopefully is lower too.
Droping the hybrid telephoto is natural, was awful.
I think they should have done better at selfie camera, I bet this is where Iphones will improve (wider angle?) so they could front run them.
I like the plastic on the back honestly, very practical
again FHD screen ? I understand that they whant to reduce cost , but they can do that on cheaper devices. When you throw with money you whant the best and this screen is clearly not that.
I have the s10 , and i would wait for s22 to see if they would bring back quality display and 12gb ram. If not S20 5g would be my next one. Better buy S20 with 12gb if S22 would be fail just like S21
Usually I'll upgrade to the latest S Series device. I skipped upgrading to the S20 and glad I did but I won't consider the S22/Note 22 or whatever label Samsung settles on. Very few improvements and in some features they're going backwards. Innovation for mobile phones have reached a plateau, why drop a bundle for a bit better camera or a new color? Sorry Samsung, I'll sit this one out.
Samsung are gonna screw Europe again with another exynos cpu theyve gone with AMD gpu integrated inside to put spin on the whole thig to look more appealing to the consumer but plz believe this will be 20-30% worse that the snapdragron 8 gen1 version of the s22 yet we stil pay more than the USA for the phone. This is what made me move to hUAWEI and oppo and i'll be keeping my huawei p30 because its still a very capable 2019 phone faster than my s20 i had from samsung last year which i sold for £200 due to terrible battery jerky video camera and overheating issues and slow laggy gaming. I will at some point get either a iphone 12 or 13 to have the best of android and the apple world. l decided to stick around a bit longer to S9

Santosh, 11 Dec 2021The battery drains a lot, don't survive post noonMy S21 with the Snapdragon can easily last all day. I've found it hard to even come close to running the battery down. It has easily lasted longer than any of the previous Galaxy S phones I've owned. I started with the S6 and upgraded every two years to the newest version.(S6, S8, S10, S21).
I was going to start upgrading every year, after I got the S21. But with the rumor of the smaller screen size on the S22, I will probably stick to every two years if the screen size actually gets smaller on the S22.

Harry, 14 Dec 2021Upgrading to S21 from S10 pros and cons:
Cons:
- Less r... moreI was glad I dumped my two year old S10. Plus the $550 trade in credit toward my 256GB S21 meant I only had to pay around $300 out of pocket. Plus I got $200 worth of accessories.
All that plus the S21 has easily been a better phone than my S10 was. The only thing the S10 had that was better, was a higher resolution screen(but smaller). Everything else on the S21 has been better for me.
I gett better battery performance and a 120hz screen.
I never needed the SD card. I haven't used wired headphones in many, many years and would never consider using them now. I only used the SpO2/heartrate sensor twice with my S10. For years I've had a couple of SpO2/heartrate sensors that I can wear and get constant data. That gets downloaded and put into a graph. So the feature on the S10 was never useful to me.
The rumored smaller screen on the S22 is why I might not upgrade from the S21. I don't want to go down to a smaller size. I would have preferred if they stuck with an 6.2 inch screen or increased it to 6.25/6.3 inches.
