I bought the s21 because it was actually cheaper than th s20. I'm not huge on flagship phones a go phone that has 720p at the least was always enough for me so obviously this phone is great in my opinion but still nothing. I don't have any problems with it no over heating the camera in my opinion is great but that's actually my current biggest want as I can upgrade, is there a better camera out there? im in the US by the way and the s21 ultra is just too big. I also cracked my screen, everything still works but I would like to fix it as it sometimes gets in the way of my thumb print and just seems like a good idea to replace it. is it do able on your own like how they sell oem screen on eBay or do I need a professional to do it. I had a screen protector and even tried to replace it when just that broke since it had a warrantee but the att store was out then of course I cracked my normal screen luckily just the top glass and nothing effecting touch or visual and I have a case for the back. I got my girl friend an iPhone 12 pro max for her birthday we need to go get it switched over as she has sprint. im interested to check out its camera. I make zines on full color gloss photo paper I usually use a website to enhance photos is there a good app that can do this and also let me use pdf saved photos in designs for printing. pdf seems hard to access on most collage type apps is saving as jpeg good enough quality. my printer is below the quality anyways but I read its still best to have your prints at the highest before hand. print is an epson eco tank 8500. so basic questions any camera that much better, best option to fix screen on s21, any apps to increase image quality and any apps like canva etc where I can use pdfs in they're templates also have a MacBook Pro and Lenovo all in one which has photo shop and adobe but I haven't set it up recently mostly just use my Mac when not on my phone

AnonD-1019084, 29 Nov 2021No it doesn't heat up badly mine is perfectly fine I'm guessing this due to other folks that have issues with this phone, but glad yours doesn't have issues with!
Seems like you have a good batch, so it shouldn't be a huge issue for you to run into!

RandyRiffin, 29 Nov 2021You say Exynos is bad, that means S21 Ultra is bad. I'... moreI know the s21 ultra is a very good phone, but me personally, I don't really think the exynos would be worth it! Othe folks say they have issues with this phone because of exynos, but after updates, it got better, but still far from good enough for battery life!
I expect a Snapdragon version to be sold globally on the s22 lineup, even with the s21 lineup being discontinued, you can still find them on 3rd party retailers

For me 1... moreI'm guessing you spent a long time staring at a 1440p screen with 200x zoomed in text? because I really can't tell the difference between 1080p and 1440p unless they are side by side. But that OH so smooth refresh rate is what feels like heaven, like sliding through butter.

Not everyone lives there, and even those who do can still import a Snapdragon variant, with no apparent performance losses. S21 Ultra is actually a very good phone, but you say because of the chipset it becomes bad. Stop whining.

RandyRiffin, 26 Nov 2021I knew that Samsung removing the 1440p display choice for t... more1080p with 120hz LTPO Display looks great on iphone, but if this guy wants a high resolution to use 120hz at the same time, I would recommend an s21 ultra, but after seeing a lot of negatives in this forum, I don't see a enough of a reason for the s21 ultra to be worth it, actually, mainly because of exynos that heats up really badly on a moderate basis to heavy basis!
the only thing I hate about samsung was because of bloatwares! I mean, it's not that bad, but still far from impressive! That's why I delete some of those pre installed apple apps and then download some third party apps from the app store, but I mostly don't use apple apps, I feel like keeping apple apps in a folder on the second page is as aesthetically pleasing as sophia camarda's one!

Anonymous, 20 Nov 2021When you not see the difference there 2 options : 1 you hav... moreI knew that Samsung removing the 1440p display choice for the S series was a bummer, but I didn't know this many people would hate for this. Like, using 1440p isn't THAT much better, because you can't use 1440p and 120Hz at the same time. So if you want the high resolution, you'll have to sacrifice high refresh rate, which you wouldn't do. Except now I learnt that many people actually used the 60Hz 1440p (!). I don't know about your preferences, but to me, high refresh rate is more important.

If anything I'll probably do the smart thing and get a screen protector or case for the phone. I'm pretty good with all my equipment anyway.

Me, 23 Nov 2021Please disregard the comment Randy. It was a misreading on ... moreHere, I'll answer your post. The S21 is actually not a great deal even compared to other Samsung phones such as A52s and S20 FE. You see, both A52s and S20 FE have 120Hz Amoled, A52s even has a headphone jack and micro sd card slot if you are into that. S20 FE has a telephoto. And they are both cheaper than the S21. Now, to be fair, the S21 does have a compact form factor, which is important for a lot of people. It is roughly the same size as the p30 lite, whereas most other phones are bigger. So, it all depends on what's important.
If you want a compact phone but don't want to spend as much money, you could get the Google Pixel 5 or Sony Xperia 5 II.

With my phone company in Canada, I get a free upgrade every 2 years. What I do is call the loyalty department and see if I can get the best deal possible.
In this case the company's already offering the S21 for free. So if I can't get the S21 ultra, like my initial goal was, I'm happy to upgrade to this one.
I appreciate the advice on the flickering. I'm looking into that now.

S21 is AMOLED screen compared to P30 lite's IPS, you will have difficulty adjusting at first. Few fraction of people get headaches. Please google "PWM flickering".
Other than that, s21 is good, no h/jack, buy wireless headphones.
