I was about to buy this phone. So bad that there is no aptx or aac.
Has anybody actually tried to force it in "developer settings" ?
I am asking this because some users commented at A41 page report that aptx is working if you enable it at dev settings: https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_a41-reviews-10138.php (search aptx)

1080p is perfect resolution for you because bigger resolution consume your battery ? On S20 you could choose to stay at only 1080p if you whant to have more battery , but if you whant great quality you know for the money that you pay you have the option to change to 1440p. People who care more about batter life and not features Samsung made M-Series and A-series.
S6 and S6 edge had 1440p screen and 2550 and 2600 batery and old software , ofcourse you have to charge it 3 times on a day.
But after that they were ok , all s-eries from s6 had 1440p screen and they were good.

I also think 4K is good for entry-level VR, and 1080p is good for budget TVs. 1440p on TVs is also kinda pointless because reasonably-priced, good 4K TVs are a thing now, so they can fill in the price bracket where 1440p would've in pre-2015 (if 1440p TVs were ever common, a lot of manufacturers skipped the resolution), while also offering an appreciable bump in quality, unlike 1440p on phones, or 4K on tablets or laptops.

Exactly. Here’s my take on ideal resolutions for different devices.
480p: Smartwatches (maybe lower depending on size)
720p: Budget phones
1080p: Mid-range and higher phones, cheap tablets and laptops, and entry-level monitors
1440p: Mid-range and higher tablets, mid-range and higher laptops, and mid-to-upper-mid-range monitors
4K: Higher-end monitors and smaller TVs
8K: Bigger TVs and current VR
16K: Future VR (high resolution is very important in VR, these screen is almost touching your eyes, and high detail is important for immersion)

As for Bluetooth, there really isn't a difference between different phones anymore, your earbuds will likely sound basically identical from device to device.

Anonymous, 17 Aug 2021S20 FE and S10e were budget like phones. They were cheaper ... moreThe S21 is not more expensive than the S20. The MSRP of the S20 was $1000, and the S21 is $800. The S20 models are still more expensive than their S21 counterparts on Samsung's website. Yeah you can find them on eBay or something for less, but they are still cheaper from Samsung, always have been and still are. There are also other reasons to buy the S21 over the S20, including faster processors, better battery life, and it'll get another year of software updates.

The increase between 1080p and 1440p is simply too small to be worth the drawbacks, including worse battery life and more GPU throttling. The jump between 720p and 1080p is much bigger, enough to be noticeable in daily use, even when you're not actively looking for it. 1080p is the sweet spot at this screen size. Also, the S21 displays are still top-tier, a minuscule drop in resolution isn't gonna change that, that's just stupid lmao. The drop in resolution is perfectly okay, and actually welcome in my eyes.

I already think 1440p is dumb on phones, but at least I can kinda see the argument if it's an OLED display (not an LCD, that would weaken brightness in addition to the other drawbacks), and if you can turn it down if you want. Samsung would never put 1440p on the S21 FE, that is unarguably dumb. The FE series is supposed to keep the core parts and get rid of the extras to reduce the price, not add on to the normal version.

Anonymous, 16 Aug 2021First off i have s10e 5.8 inch and a friend of mine has s10... moreMy point is, why would I want an improvement that you'll barely even notice not having after a day, that comes with several drawbacks? I'd take better battery life, higher FPS, and less GPU throttling over a slight resolution bump, no contest. I can't think of any scenario where 1440p on a sub-8" display is worth it. If you prefer 1440p, that's fine, you do you, but I just think it's a bad idea.
Also my dad has an S20 Ultra and neither of us can tell the difference easily, let alone care about it enough to prefer it over the drawbacks.
