Qualcomm low end chipsets aren't the best, only decent.
What can you expect for the price.

There is no logic that both phones have the same performance even though they both use the same CPU Exynos 850. You missed one important fact in specifications.
a13 4g has GPU Mali-G52 while a14 4g has GPU Mali-G52 MC2. They have different specifications.
Mali-G52

Base clock speed of 600 MHz
Maximum clock speed of 900 MHz
Pixel fill rate of 1.2 Gpix/s
Texture fill rate of 0.6 Gtexel/s
Peak performance of 2.5 TFLOPS
Mali-G52 MC2
2 clusters, each with 2 cores
Base clock speed of 700 MHz
Maximum clock speed of 1000 MHz
Pixel fill rate of 1.4 Gpix/s
Texture fill rate of 0.7 Gtexel/s
Peak performance of 3 TFLOPS
The main difference between the two GPUs is the clock speed. The Mali-G52 MC2 has a higher base clock speed of 700 MHz, which translates to a 16.67% increase in performance. The Mali-G52 MC2 also has a higher maximum clock speed of 1000 MHz.
Another difference is the pixel fill rate. The Mali-G52 MC2 has a higher pixel fill rate of 1.4 Gpix/s, which translates to a 16.67% increase in performance.
In terms of performance, the Mali-G52 MC2 is generally faster than the Mali-G52. This difference is noticeable in games and other graphics-intensive applications.
For example, in the GFXBench Manhattan 3.1 benchmark, the Mali-G52 MC2 scored 133 fps, while the Mali-G52 scored 112 fps. This is a difference of 18%.

The Mali-G52 MC2 is a faster upgraded version of the Mali-G52. I am also certain that CPU Exynos 850 is optimized better in a14 4g SoC than in a13 4g even though I couldn't find that data. It is a newer and better build. It is ridiculous for people to expect excellence in price range of a14 4g phone, but it does a pretty good job, in my opinion, and I tested it.

Now receiving OS update with One UI 6.0 but Android version not confirmed here in the update. Update is for 2.44GB in India for S21FE SD888 model.

I was surprised how it handles games well. So I can not believe that better Exynos chipset of s21 fe can have major lag problems. There are some tests which show that s21 fe Exynos is better than s21 fe Snapdragon, for instance in Geekbench 5 muticore test or Geekbench 6 single core and multi core test:

Nice feature of one ui 6 in the Device care app under the Memory section and Memory resident apps. Samsung is now advising to put some apps into the deep sleep mode.
"Memory resident apps run in the
background all the time. Sometimes
this is necessary for an app to
work correctly. However, too many
memory resident apps can slow
down your phone. If you aren't using
any of the apps below, putting them
in deep sleep may improve your
phone's performance."
I do not have any Memory resident apps, because I am putting most apps into the deep sleep mode by default. There are no issues in their work when using them even though I have put them there long time ago. Only one app for banking payment so far hasn't worked smoothly for me, and I needed to wake it up. Before one ui 6, by putting apps in deep sleep mode I fought with the issue of the android developers' pollution of RAM and battery consumption. Nice feature and recommendation by Samsung.
