I only turned off location scanning settings and some unnecessary apps' settings to 'optimized' battery setting, for most of the system apps I manually set them on 'unrestricted' battery setting still I get more than 6 hours SoT on normal usage (when not playing games). My brightness setting is automatic. This SoT is with 5G turned on with mobile Hotspot on.

arif, 17 Aug 2023use the phone one low power mode I don't even use low power mode, my phone is set on 'maximum' processing speed. Even I turned off most of the apps' battery setting to 'unrestricted'.

I recently got this phone for 490 dollars and its so worth it. I have the 8gb version. I upgraded from an s20 mainly for battery life. Even though the fe does not have the absolute best battery life, its miles better than the base s20 WITH EXYNOS 990, which is the worst. I have the exynos model on the fe but its still miles better in performance, heating and battery. Other than that the cameras are a significant upgrade too, the output from all sensors and modes, be it portrait or video or night is way bettter, and mainly the zoom as its optical and not hybrid. The display is not necessarily a downgrade, im not a fan of curved displays and i never used the 1440p option anyways so it comes down to personal preference. I also prefer the plastic back which heats up way less than the slippery glass on the s20. I couldn't be happier with this phone and the added 4 years of updates makes it even better!

It's pr... moreYes sometimes it heats but I am not sure if it is overheating, and battery life is not that bad, it's above average for normal users, gaming is also nice only some frame drops when intense gaming, not for hardcore gamers but it handles heavy gaming quite sufficiently. SoT is 6-7 hours which is okay considering its flagship like features and processing. I didn't face any major issue at all. Best all-rounder phone in its price range now.

Apart from battery drainage and heating issue. It's pretty good. Since ur getting a flagship features with high end chipset, it's understandable that the phone isn't able to give the desired performance. Im kinda not happy with the purchase, the sd888 isn't really helpful in neutralizing the heat. But since I'm only a gamer people using for softcore app users they'll be satisfied. If urgent trying to game, don't buy. Im gonna give to my sister by next year and buy a better phone.

The only advantage of A54 over S21 FE is one more Android update, nothing else.

Here in India, S21 FE 5G (Exynos 2100) is $50 - $100 dollar cheaper than A54 (Exynos 1380), S21 FE 5G is better than A54 because of the following reasons -
1.) Display - Display of S21 FE 5G is better than A54 and have slimmer bezels.
2.) Camera - S21 FE 5G has better cameras than A54. A54 have 50MP main camera but just megapixel count is not everything. Even $100 phones have 48MP cameras.
3.) IP68 over IP67
4.) Build Quality - Aluminium frames with plastic back is better than glass back with plastic frame.
5.) Wireless Charging
6.) Samsung DeX
7.) USB 3.2 over USB 2.0
8.) Gorilla Glass Victus vs Gorilla Glass 5
9.) Exynos 2100 beats Exynos 1380 in every aspect
10.) Bloatware - S21 FE 5G has less bloated One UI
11.) Physical Proximity Sensor
12.) Reverse Wireless Charging

1380 has 4 2.4 ghz cortex A78 and 4 2.0 ghz cortex A55 cores while 2100 has 1 2.9 ghz cortex X1, 3 2.8 ghz cortex A78 and 4 2.2 ghz cortex A55 cores, in which segment does 1380 perform better than 2100? Can you tell us?
Exynos 990 still beats 1380. Exynos 1380 is comparable to Exynos 9820 which btw is more than 4 year old and featured in S10 series.

Also you are saying that I only see technical specs however you are also telling me a technical specification (CPU speed) and comparing both phones on the basis of CPU speed which is obviously a technical specification. Dude you know nothing about mobile technology. You're welcome.

I've had almost all the A-series phones including the past 5 years. So, I pretty much know them because i used them. You only look at the title but you don't look at the fine print and all the technical specs of a device. A 2023 midrange Exynos 1380 phone could have a higher CPU speed than a 2021 "budget flasghip" Exynos 2100 phone, etc. Your welcome.
