Camera and Software is most important. Can somebody tell me whats the difference Between Single and Single New Edition ? Even though they only offer these two options on amazon, not on Samsung page. Anybody ever ordered directly from Samsung ? is it good ? Cheers

If you're not a hardcore gamer then there's nothing wrong with the battery life on this phone, you must know that Samsung phones are not meant for intense gaming, casual gaming yes but not hardcore gaming! Even the latest S23 series won't last a day if you're glued to the phone 24x7. I've the exynos version and for me the battery easily lasts for a day with 5-6 hours of sot which is much higher than the regular S22 or S23.

Turn on 'Suspend execution of cached apps' from developer option for battery and set processing speed to maximum
I don't feel any battery drain and heating

I would like some help in Phone Recommendation
At the moment, I'm thinking of buying either A54($400) or A73($470) or S21 FE 5G($510). The phone should be good overall, can last for 3-5 years, and it should be able to last long for medium amount of gaming or high amount of social media.
I'm also open for phones reccommendation for $300 with the specifications being the phone should be good overall, can last for 3-5 years, and it should be able to last long for high amount of social media. (Preferably Samsung, Xiaomi, Vivo).
Can anyone please help me in recommending the best phone for these specifications. Your opinion will be appreciated. Thank you

Ghr78, 25 May 2023I own S21FE almost a year now. For general usage the phone ... moreThanks for your long answer and taking the time to write it. The Pixel 7a was fun but it had two pretty heavy issue for me :
1. The weight. my old one was 172 g, the Pixel 7a is 194g so it felt really heavy for me.
2. The Aspect Ratio, my old phone had 18:9, 5,99 inch, the Pixel has 20:9 on 6,1 inch, but still, when i was browsing or on whatsapp, everything felt very small for me. A friend told me to just use glasses, and well i should, but i dont wanna, haha.
Well but now after researching for 2 weeks, i am questioning my decision, since there seem not to be too many good phones below 500-500$ :-(

dOTY, 25 May 2023Hello, after disliking the Pixel 7a and Poco F5, i consider... moreI've had my S21 FE for over a year. I'm a heavy user (productivity apps, movies, music, TV, camera, video & photo post processing, etc.). My battery typically lasts the whole day, but it doesn't matter if it runs low. I've never had a phone that charges this fast. It will go from zero to fifty percent in the advertised 30 minutes. If it's charged 45 minutes, that will bring it to 75% - 80%.
The phone has great WiFi reception and speed capacity, but it does lack the better cellular antenna of it's Samsung brothers. They had to cut corners somewhere, and this was a poor place for them to do it for this device. Not a problem for urban dwelling users, but I live in a rural area with limited coverage. Still, my friend with the cheapest cricket prepaid phone gets better reception than I do when at home (I typically have none, he has 3-5 bars).
Figure out what you want to do with your phone, and where you'll be doing it, then pick the phone for the tasks most important to you.
Even though I do complicated photo and video processing, I've never had any problem with processing power or memory shortages. The main camera is not up to the quality I was expecting, but it gets by for most less than pro level uses. Wouldn't pick it for a portrait, etc. - but I can take memory type shots okay.
While it's been rugged and reliable for a phone that's dropped, etc from heavy use - there's no evidence of any damage from all the knocks it has taken.
While I don't hate my phone, I am sad that I didn't check the antenna quality before purchasing. I “assumed” that a new quasi flagship Samsung would have the best internal components. When I'm in the city it works flawlessly. Sadly I'm in a rural environment most of the time, so I won't recommend to anyone not living in an urban/city environment.
Good luck with whatever phone you choose!

dOTY, 25 May 2023Hello, after disliking the Pixel 7a and Poco F5, i consider... moreI own S21FE almost a year now. For general usage the phone is great. If you're not a hard core gamer, battery will last whole day. In my case, charge it every night bfor bad, sometimes on 20+ % battery life remaining. About the front camera i can rate it like 7/10. For video calls is good and quality is good, but for stills/selfies not good. Audio quality is great.Stereo speakers are good. Bottom one is a bit louder that one in the earpiece. Overall nice multimedia experience combined with the gorgeous screen. Software is smooth and full of customization options. Also you may expect os updates to android 15 and regular security updates next few years. Just curious, why did you reject the Pixel 7a?

I had one in Lavender color it's exynos 2100 variant. The Software is so smooooth, the level of customization is appreciable. Great camera setup, 30x zoom too ! .
Good for casual gaming tried , PUBG , no issue , played 59 - 60 fps .

Hello, after disliking the Pixel 7a and Poco F5, i consider buying this. 528€ for 8/256 and 3 year warranty on amazon at the moment ( germany ). I care about battery > camera ( front more than main, for videocalls with gf ) > software > speakers. and then the rest.
Anyone who owns this can tell me if it will be a good buy ? Will the battery, by now, last a day without problems ? ( on average usage ).
Thanks for help
