For the Samsung S21 FE, here’s a rough breakdown of its optimal performance over time:

                    1. **First Year (2022 - 2023)**:
                    - **Performance**: Near peak, with smooth app usage, gaming, and multitasking. The Snapdragon 888 or Exynos 2100 chip handles most tasks effortlessly.
                    - **Battery Life**: 90-100% of its original capacity, providing good screen time (8-10 hours depending on usage).
                    - **Software Support**: Receiving the latest Android OS updates and optimizations.

                    2. **Second Year (2023 - 2024)**:
                    - **Performance**: Small drop (~90-95% of optimal). The phone can still handle demanding apps, but you may start to notice minor slowdowns in multitasking or high-performance games.
                    - **Battery Life**: Down to 80-90% capacity, meaning shorter screen-on times (6-8 hours).
                    - **Software Support**: Still receiving major Android OS updates and security patches.

                    3. **Third Year (2024 - 2025)**:
                    - **Performance**: Noticeable drop (~75-85%). Apps and the OS might have small lags or stutters, especially with more intensive usage. Some features may be harder to use smoothly (e.g., live themes, heavy multitasking).
                    - **Battery Life**: Around 60-80% of its original capacity, resulting in frequent charging (4-6 hours screen time).
                    - **Software Support**: Likely the final major Android update, but still receiving security patches.

                    4. **Fourth Year (2025 - 2026)**:
                    - **Performance**: Major decline (~50-75%). The phone might struggle with newer apps and updates. Frequent slowdowns, app crashes, and increased OS hiccups could be common.
                    - **Battery Life**: 50-60% of original capacity, which could result in only 3-4 hours of screen time.
                    - **Software Support**: Security patches only, no more major Android updates.

Beyond the fourth year, the S21 FE could still function, but its usability would be heavily impacted by outdated hardware, degraded battery life, and lack of software support. So, the **optimum performance window** is generally **1-3 years**, with a noticeable decline in the fourth year.

P.S. It is an optimistic prognosis. Battery is the weakest link of this phone. So stop posting ad hominem arguments. But unfortunately, I must say that I know that u can not
                    understand it.

after almost 2 years of regular usage OS has hiccups, and the battery is simply dying. It can not handle live themes. It drains too fast. For my usage it will endure just one more year, I hope so. Time to switch to Apple pro max.

Using this phone 2 years now. No issues so far. Only downside for me is not that good battery life, but one day is a acceptable score i think.

I don't play games so standard refresh rate is absolutely fine to me as it's still pretty fast while scrolling. The battery if not playing games is pretty decent.

Prashant, 07 Sep 2024I hate low refresh rate.i agree. For me, it is a complete nonsense that for instance iPhone 16 plus will still have 60Hz refresh rate and people will buy it at such price. Nonsense
