There are some options out there, not so many as in the past though. The way people are using their phones nowadays, made the companies go larger and larger in the display category. And is normal. Small phones have the only advantage that they fit good in your pocket, the rest are only disadvantages (cramped keyboard, average batteries, too small displays for media consumption or gaming).

If you buy a powerful phone with nice features and then disable those features to extend battery life, what's the point in buying the phone in the first place? Just to have those nice features on paper?
The problem with the vanilla S22, the same problem that was present in S21, is that they have too small batteries. In comparison, both the S22+ and the S21+ variants are far better in battery life. And I will recommend the + variants to anybody interested in Samsung phones from 2021 or 2022.
If you really need small phones, then buy something else.

Was a Samsung phones user for a few years before I swithc to Huawei phones and now back then Samsung again. I have to say that they are not doing well with this one. The phone is very laggy and not running smooth on some occasions. You can totally feel it when you compare with a Huawei phone. The fingerprint sensor sucks big time as 9 out of 10 times won't read my finger correctly. Hate it to the max.

I bought S22 5g Snapdragon model. I am average user of smartphone especially samsung upgrading from S9 to S22. Most people are complaining about battery issue. I used mobile for almost 1 day. so here is the data. 1. Screen on time: 9h 42m 2. Screen off time: 8h 59m
Most using app was youtube, whatsapp and chrome. Most of mobile feature was off and put in moderate use especially with 60hz refresh rate.

I keep getting the stupid moisture detected warning after i updated my phone and had to use a wireless charger for now ugh

This is the most disappointing phone i've ever had. Switched from a Note9 to this which turned out to be a huge mistake... Build quality, screen and cameras are good but the exynos chipset is just so bad... Poor performance and extremely bad batterylife just ruins this phone for me

the march update makes the battery to another level... its at least 35% better than previously. now I can make 6h30 sot without economy mode (60hz). standby is great too. Im using my phone from 7am to 16 pm and losts only 30%, before this march update, the battery drains at leats 50-60% at same time. Im from brazil and my variant is snapdragon 256 gb green.
