get it for under 300 AUD and its yours with an absolute bang for your buck
if you are not in europe of course
snapdragon 8 gen 1 is very fast, battery charges to 100% in 58 minutes
camera is amazing and runs super fast with massive customization
really good option for older children if they are looking for a compact phone

I had a Galaxy S10e for about 5 years and was very happy with it until it decided to drop itself in water. As I had a battery replace 2 years ago the response to water was black screen.
Right...Then went to the second hand market and bought a three year old S22 for €160.
It is a great phone though I miss the fingerprint recognition on the power button + the ability to swipe down on the same.
But the camera is superb and I am happy with the 170mm lens.
The new One UI7 though is another matter. It is downright disgusting and you cannot even change the important thingis!

After reading these comments, I think I should avoid this series as possible. I've found one being sold in a store for $320 (prices are already expensive in my country). I thought it'd be a good deal for a flagship at this price. However, it appears that it has too much problems. So let's avoid it by any means. Go for the S21 Ultra if you want something cheaper or near the price or just save up for the S23. Depends on the region by the way. My region is so expensive. Good luck for yours.

This is literally the worst phone I have ever owned. I had an S21+, and I upgraded to an S22. I expected a shorter battery life; however, I didn't expect it to be that short and that the phone turns into an oven even by just using Facebook and being on a video call. My applications get closed automatically because of that, even during a video call. What a mess for the price I paid for it, I wish I had stayed with my S21+. I think I won't buy any samsung crap anymore.

I suffer the same fate as most users here. 2 green line appear on the amoled display after updating to Android 15. This is my only phone and screen replacement is hella expensive & take 2-3 days. I swear I would never buy flagship Samsung phone ever again.

Good foramen, 13 Jun 2025After using Samsung S22 for almost 2 years, 2 vertical line... moreDitto, as a student, I was gifted this S22 and it disappointed me that this device couldn't even reach at least 5 years of service without this plight—the two vertical lines appearing out of nowhere. It is unfortunate that this issue occurred after the warranty so I'm quite forced to be burdened with the lines in this phone and save up for a new phone. I just wish there was some compensation of Samsung for taking accountability of these vertical lines knowing that a large portion of S22 owners are facing a common issue.

After using Samsung S22 for almost 2 years, 2 vertical lines suddenly appeared on it after the last update (without any trauma or impact). Now, it would cost hell for replacement. I wonder why Samsung has adopted 'quality compromise but extensive advertisement' campaign rather than better customer care, hardware, tech support and public relations. Gradual leaching of customers may prove fatal in the long term. Really disappointed with them.

0KAIR, 30 May 2025For people who got the S22, how is the battery life with yo... moreHonestly, I feel like it slightly improved which is nice, but I've had the phone since launch so battery was always ok until it literally sucked. Like my screen on time has always been around 2 hours and 30 minutes from being around my house and outside. If I'm inside using my phone the whole time without it resting then ill probably get 4 hours but that wouldn't include standby. So if i wanted to use the phone normally like on and off and going around to different places with it, after one charge then it will survive the whole day but I really cant use my it often or it would die so I carry a power bank with me. However I plan to upgrade to maybe a used s23 ultra or 24 ultra this year. I have also thought about
one plus being an option but I've heard the screens aren't too reliable so that's what's holding me back from them I know those phones are great value but yeah.

Apart from that the phone is still going strong in everything else, like performance and camera and heating isn't an issue. (When I first had the phone it heated up a lot)
