N, 13 Aug 2022I think fingerprint sensor in all S22 5G being visible is a... moreI have yet to notice mine. But, when I use the fingerprint sensor, the screen is all black. And it only takes a fraction of a split second for it to unlock. So between my thumb on the sensor and it unlocking in a fraction of a split second, I would never have time to look for it.
Although, I do use the fingerprint sensor to log into some apps. But when that happens, an image of a fingerprint shows up on screen. To show you where to put your finger or thumb.

I think fingerprint sensor in all S22 5G being visible is a common issue. My 2nd S22 5G fingerprint sensor is less noticeable than the previous one but it is still there if you will look at it closely.

I got my 2nd S22 5G replacement, same issue with fingerprint sensor a little bit noticeable especially on grey background.

Which would seem odd going from such a large screen to such a small one.
I've never owned the Note10 or the S21 FE. But I did own an S21. And I like my S22 in every way over my S21, except for the lower battery life. But, for me, the S22 is so much better. Especially the size and aspect ratio, when compared to the S21. It's well worth it, to me, with the lower battery life. Since I can still easily go all day, without needing to charge my S22.

I think mine is defective and I'm asking for replacement since I only bought it yesterday. And I'm not even sure if they will replace it, if not what a waste of money.

But then, I'm also not sure if I've ever had a gray background on my screen. I can't really think of anything that uses a gray background.

I bought s22 5g yesterday, I've noticed that the fingerprint sensor is noticeable on screen specially on grey background. There are also 2 vertical sensor that is noticeable on grey background below the front cam. Is this defective or normal issue?

I hope Samsng realises we have hit peak screen sizes at around 6.5 and start going back the other way and sell that. 6.1" is perfect at upper end. Focus on value add inside the phone. Add IR or some other useful feature for everyday life.

My Spigen NeoFlex Solid Screen Protector, on my S22, works flawlessly with the fingerprint reader. It's reads the fingerprint in less than a split second. Every time. Without issues. 8k video recording of samsung is useless because of that 24fps frame rate, and its 2022 and their 960fps super slowmo is still in 720P, my poco f2 pro have higher specs in videography than this phone and its a 2years old phone
