The battery is very poor for a flagship, samsung's mid range a series phones have an average of 5000mah and are much cheaper. The camera only is 50mp, when the a52s has 64mp and other models have 108mp. I know that the quality is better but I still expect more from this phone. The s21 had better specs for the price.

This screen and ram should be made for a smartphone that cost 500$ not for a flagship . FHD is not high end since 2015. I get it has 120hz. But other brands has 120hz FHD aand 8gb ram on 300-400$.
    If it had all that specs and a 1440p screen 120hz + 12gb ram would make sense .

        I have had my phone for 5 weeks now and only got a probationary licence to drive it. The phone is great, although I miss a few things over my old S9 with the flashing blue light for unread notifications. The phone is very smooth to use. general battery life is 28 hours on standby. Playing games such as Hunting Clash I get 5.5 hours and 9 hours playing Netflix.
        The camera is fantastic. I use Pro mode all the time. Great phone. Waiting on my free Air Buds 2.

          Compare this to the two generation old S20.

          The S20 has a higher res display. The S20 has smaller bezels. The S20 has a larger battery. The S20 has a higher res main camera sensor. (even if it is technically worse I guess) The S20 has a card slot. The S20 has a chip that won't give you 2nd degree burns.

          What's better about this exactly? I mean it's meant to be 2 generations newer. It's not cheaper.

                  Not a heavy user, finished charge 100% at 7:30am. Working, browsing n several phone calls. Left 30+% around 4pm

                    Here's my review after 4 weeks of using this phone. For the first two weeks of using it the phone would heat up and drain battery very quickly but thats actually caused by android 12's shitty optimizations. To fix this turn on bixby routines and use your phone like you would for the first 2 weeks and the phone should get better. Now im averaging 4hr30 to 5hr30 screen on time which for my usage is actually very good. Now for performance, i did play some pubgm on smooth extreme fps(comp settings) and it was really smooth and didnt heat up at all. And for the cameras is top tier. The display also is top tier. Overall id give this phone a 8/10.

They are actually an upgrade over the S21 and S21+ screens. What information are you looking at that makes you think the S22 and S22+ screens are downgraded?

They misled people into thinking the S22/22+ were LTPO (they're not), they downgraded the displays on the regular and plus models, they openly mocked Apple for removing accessories only to copy them, they paid trolls to bash HTC, GOS throttling, and probably more I'm forgetting.
                          People should stop supporting these anti-consumer corporations but the average normie doesn't have the braincells to make such a discerning decision.

With s6 you could barely get a day and a half with everything enabled, and barely a day on alpha. But STILL somehow these were better. Here, everything is too demanding for that 3500 battery (3700 specs, REAL capacity is 3500 :( ) Even with all the limiters and throttlers put on.
                            Since this phone came, I've seen like 95% of user reviews complaining about the battery.

That's why it gets a higher score on samsung, the optimisation is better on 3g and all the features disabled, BUT if you activate 5g and 120hz it's game over.

                                    bodogl, 04 Apr 2022I hate the back cheap plastic, paid $800 for cheap plastic ... moreI liked the plastic back of my S21 much, much, much better than the glass back on my S22. If I were to ever use a phone naked, I could not do it with the S22. Since it would easily slip out of my hand. And the naked S22 is not as comfortable in my hand as the S21 was. But since I use a case with every phone I have owned, it's not a big deal having the glass back on my S22.

                                      And the screen resolution difference is no big deal for me. The S21 and S22 screen still does a superb job.

                                      And the S22 is most certainly faster than the S20. Since the S22 is faster than the S21. And the S21 was faster than the S20.
