As much i loved they finaly made a decent size smartphone they forget that was supose to be a flagship. The specs are more like FE por E edtion .
When in 2022 you put 1080p screen and 8gb ram on your flagship you have a problem.
S20 5g is better all the way.
So you supose to buy a phone just because of the CPU ?

Anonymous, 10 Feb 2022Wow, still less features than my S9, for double the price. ... moreWhat is not reliable about the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner? With my S21 It has worked much better and much much faster than any previous Galaxy S phone I owned. I expect the S22 ultrasonic fingerprint reader to be as fast or faster than the S21. That is a win.

I have no need for faster charging since I only slow charge my cell phones. Mostly wirelessly. I have never had any need to fast charge them. Plus my batteries have always lasted much longer by slow charging.

I have no use for a micro-sd slot since it would be much, much slower than the internal storage. Plus all my 2160P60 videos and high resolution photos are uploaded to the cloud anyway. So storage has never been an issue for me. The 256GB S22 will be more than enough for me. Just like my S21 256GB was. I'm just glad it didn't cost any extra to go form 128GB to 256GB.

Of course a higher resolution screen is always nice. I can easily see the difference between the lower resolution S21 screen and my higher resolution S10. But it made no difference in my daily use. The benefits of the S21 outweighed the lower screen resolution. And the same is true for the S22 for me.

Although the Pixels Per Inch of the S22 is slightly higher than the S21. 425ppi vs. 421ppi.

tituskl, 10 Feb 2022$800 for no microSD expansion LOLWhy would I want to use a micro SD card? It will be to slow compared to the internal storage.

I want things faster, not slower.

I just ordered my Spigen Neo Hybrid case for my S22, from Amazon. I have been using the Spigen Neo Hybrid cases since my S8. I like that they don't add much to depth but still provide decent protection.

I also ordered a pack of the Spigen NeoFlex Solid Screen Protectors for my S22 form Amazon. I've been using the spigen screen protectors for many years too. They have always worked well for me.

3700 mAh? Why does Samsung never learn? Most folk don't want to pay in excess of £700 for a phone with less than 6h screen on time. It's getting ridiculous. I have the S21 Plus and i'm sick of having giant phones...i want a small one, but the batteries are always abysmal on the small ones. The S21 Plus is a 6/10 in terms of battery. It's ok. My gf is on an S21 and that's a 5/10. I think i'll need to go back a generation and go for a Pixel 5

Guy just pointed out that Samsung is joking with us since S21 for the pretty good money. 4K is the reality on Xperia 1 iii, like it or not, have you seen it or just mumbling in the crowd? Because of Samsung and people like you we are paying extreme prices for the avarage, copy-paste phones.

I had not heard about the low refresh rate. I thought it was still going to be 48hz for the low end?

The curved screens are what I hated about my S8 and S10. I liked my S6 flat screen. I was glad when they went back to the flat screen with the S21. And the flat screen of the S22 was another reason I decided to get one. If the S22 had a curved screen, I definitely would not have upgraded from my s21.

Wow, still less features than my S9, for double the price. Bring back the iris scanner, the reliable fingerprint scanner, the SD card slot, the higher screen resolution, and I might bite for the RAM increase and faster charging. At $499, not $799. Btw, that punch hole is still an eye sore.

Will there ever be a day when we see a full screen Galaxy without a selfie hole!?

My brother has been using S10+ since launch till date with no issues. I on the other hand use S20 FE exynos version. This phone gets hot (replaced it 3 times), even with mild tasks like surfing through the gallery or surfing the internet. Worst and Scariest experience was during a flight, it got extremely hot once I got into the aircraft while on Airplane mode, I had to turn it off completely even before take off.
