Is this phone worth buying in November 2023?
I am not a heavy user, I typically use my phone for 5-7 hours a day, mostly for listening to music via Bluetooth, browsing social networks and emails. No games or heavy apps.
I don't want to charge it during the day.
My previous phone were A6 (which was good but broke) and currently A51 (not bad in general, but the battery sucks).

., 04 Nov 2023Just switched from the Galaxy A02 and the battery is 2 hour... moreNaturally, that's the business practice with most budget phones.
Throw a huge battery in (because it's the cheapest component and looks good in advertising) and skimp heavily in most other areas

Battery is fine if you use the phone for light tasks (web browsing, youtube, messengers). It's bad if you play heavy games. At least the phone is beautiful vs the new generic Samsung design they've given all the newer phones

The battery is pathetic. It does not last more than 8 to 9 hours with regular use. Now I use my older Galaxy S20 FE 5g which battery lasts more than 1 and half day.

Kaybee, 25 Oct 2023I have this phone, and it measures 5 7/8 inch, not 6.1The measurement is taken diagonally, not vertically. My s23 measures exactly 6 inches diagonally which is exactly its advertised size. Try measuring again from opposite corners.

Nick Grimes , 22 Oct 2023But in a previous post you said you're not a heavy use... moreThat's true!! What's the point in having a flagship in which you've to turn on power saving mode and turn off all the additional features

SiemensC60, 17 Oct 2023my answer to your and to others comments about battery life... moreBut in a previous post you said you're not a heavy user. 'get a life'? For a flagship phone, the battery is mediocre. I don't get 4 hours screen on time straight and the phone must be charged during the day. Samsung knew they failed with the battery with this one. They didn't even do a S22 FE. That's says a lot. Absolutely no one buys a phone to put it in power saving mode and try to cut off every feature to save battery.

I've had this phone over a year. Loved the design, the size, the screen and it's snappy. BUT, the battery life is hell!!! Sometimes I have to charge it twice in one day.
Plus, if you're have an always on Bluetooth device (smart watch etc), location on, mobile data on, 120hz display setting on, you're doomed.
I would not recommend, it's an impractical phone.
I always have to carry about a power bank.

OrrathDZ, 11 Oct 2023i don't agree, i own this phone and regret every day b... moreI think the opinion on its battery depends on what phone you previously used. Mine was Sony xz1 compact which was 6 years old already and the battery was barely breathing so when I got S22 it was much better so I didnt really notice the average battery life. I still don't but I'm not playing games on the phone. Also I'm nearly always can charge it somewhere. I've got it for the really good price, like half of S23 so I have no complaints.
