I like fingerprint sen... moreI was refering that i personaly don t care about fingerprint or face id because i don t put a code on my phone. I don t work on nasa or something that kind of important to have that kind of data to hide it. But that doesn t mean that because i don t need that not other people need it. Just like if you don t need great quality screen ( Still when you can pay less money for a phone that actualy does have higher quality).
I need smaller compact phone with great display quality ( better resolution make better quality most cases). S10 and S10e for exemple ( The same cpu , the same gpu , different display resolution , big quality difference for display quality).
S20 and S21 ( S20 has better quality compare S21 ). And why is that because the resolution is bigger.
So no matter what kinda specs you put on an old resolution it still remains still the same resolution.

I like fingerprint sensors, not because they offer better security, but because using them is faster than putting in a pattern, or even swiping up (yes, on my pixel, swiping up takes more time then tapping a fingerprint sensor). In fact, now I am too impatient for even a fingerprint sensor, and want a phone with a face id as fast as Pixel 4 or Oneplus 6. Like, you look at it and it's in the home screen.

      Anonymous, 22 Jan 2022Because i had S20 and S21 in my hands and you can feel the ... moreI am pretty much saying that resolution is the only thing that you can distinguish, the only thing that is left in your mind after you use A flagship display has more stuff than high resolution, it has settings for better colour saturation, visibility, but it's interesting to see that colours don't matter to you, only the sharpness.

You can t have great top image quality screen when you resolution is lower. S21 screen is bad compare to s22. And the worst thing is when someone tell you that you don need 1440p , who are you to tell me what do i need. Previos model had best quality display , i except for the new one at least the same as previos. For exemple i don t care about fingerprint or face id because i don t work at nasa or have high level data to protect from others but probably some people need that. I don t argue with them about them. I need 1440p screen smaller ( preferable curved) and 12gb ram.

              Eh I was waiting for this phone to have 1440 screen and glass back.. its sad to see that Samsung is ruining what supposed to be their "top" phones..
              I guess I'll keep using my S7 when I need some Android and will buy an iPhone 13 instead..

                This year also S22 going to fail like s21

                I am also waiting for next year S23 ( S23 with 1440p display)

                  vr, 20 Jan 2022my s8+ has headphone jack, sd card slot and came with a cha... moretotally agree. I won't go from s10 to s22 for the same reasons, and also because the s22 (the "cheap" version ) does not support 45w charging. let's wait one more year for a more updated mobile.

                    very disappointing that this phone does not accept 45w charging, but only the s22 ultra

                      my s8+ has headphone jack, sd card slot and came with a charger.
                      no of these are available with S22. just some more MP on the camera and minor increase on the screen size.
                      will skip this s22 and wait for s23!

                        At least we should have option like s20 to choose between 1080p 120hz and 1440p 60hz in s22

These people have been spoiled with a phone that is compact yet has 1440p. And for years they have been using a phone that has 1440p. People like me or you wouldn't notice a difference between 1080p and 1440p, but since these guys have been used to 1440p years on end, of course 1080p will look fuzzy and blurry to them! Now, they can't even use a big phone with 1440p, because they had a small phone with 1440p. Small phones in 2021 don't matter because they all have 1080p, and these guys can't deal with that.

There are plenty of phones with 1440p displays. Since you are upgrading from the S9, you don't need to worry about refresh rate, so you can just use S20 at 1440p 60Hz. Or you could go to phone finder and select 1440p. There is Oneplus 7 Pro, Xiaomi 11, Samsung Note 10+, Google Pixel 6 Pro. Lucky for you there are not many phones with 1440p, so it is easier for you to choose.

I just don't know wh... moreIn the S20, Samsung went with choice to either use 1440 60hz or 120Hz 1080, which believe it or not, satisfied most users. These spoiled reviewers just complained about not having both 1440p and 120Hz on the S20 (which by the way would crush battery life), so now Samsung only put 1080p on S21, which obviously angered many users who had been using 1440p happily on their S8/9, but of course Samsung didn't know that...

                                    Just like when everything is going alright with a friend, you think they are happy on the inside, but only when you do something wrong and they get very angry, you realise that all along they were upset.

                                      Ikr. No one is going to use the phone at 120Hz 1440p at the same time. It would destroy their battery
