my s8+ has headphone jack, sd card slot and came with a charger.
no of these are available with S22. just some more MP on the camera and minor increase on the screen size.
will skip this s22 and wait for s23!

At least we should have option like s20 to choose between 1080p 120hz and 1440p 60hz in s22

These people have been spoiled with a phone that is compact yet has 1440p. And for years they have been using a phone that has 1440p. People like me or you wouldn't notice a difference between 1080p and 1440p, but since these guys have been used to 1440p years on end, of course 1080p will look fuzzy and blurry to them! Now, they can't even use a big phone with 1440p, because they had a small phone with 1440p. Small phones in 2021 don't matter because they all have 1080p, and these guys can't deal with that.

Anonymous, 14 Jan 2022Again 1080p display with low ppi. I just don't know wh... moreNow don't just stand there and complain. There are plenty of phones with 1440p displays. Since you are upgrading from the S9, you don't need to worry about refresh rate, so you can just use S20 at 1440p 60Hz. Or you could go to phone finder and select 1440p. There is Oneplus 7 Pro, Xiaomi 11, Samsung Note 10+, Google Pixel 6 Pro. Lucky for you there are not many phones with 1440p, so it is easier for you to choose.

Anonymous, 14 Jan 2022Again 1080p display with low ppi. I just don't know wh... moreIn the S20, Samsung went with choice to either use 1440 60hz or 120Hz 1080, which believe it or not, satisfied most users. These spoiled reviewers just complained about not having both 1440p and 120Hz on the S20 (which by the way would crush battery life), so now Samsung only put 1080p on S21, which obviously angered many users who had been using 1440p happily on their S8/9, but of course Samsung didn't know that...

Just like when everything is going alright with a friend, you think they are happy on the inside, but only when you do something wrong and they get very angry, you realise that all along they were upset.

Ikr. No one is going to use the phone at 120Hz 1440p at the same time. It would destroy their battery

                      Look upper view ( interface)
But in S21 , app ,video, image , feels like watching deep inside display. It's doesn't feel like smooth surface..
When displays are off . S10 S9 displays Look very dark. But s21 display little bit like grayee. White light is more. In s21 it's doesn't feel like deep punche colors. Its feels like only brightness increases.

Anonymous, 16 Jan 20221440p @ 120hz display would really hurt the battery life po... moreFirst if you whant battery to last longer you can change your display resolution. But is not ok a low resolution for a flagship .
And second S-series where never made to charge after 2 days. Everyone is charging everyday and you know that. But S-series in the past (except S21) had the best display quality for that time.
I had S21 in my hands and i don t like the display quality.

I love that they want to make s22 more compact , but stil FHD display is not ok .
Please let this specs with 1440p screen and i would buy it

                         FHD screen and 8gb ram is that good for you? This was supose to be a flagship . S20 5G 1440p 12gb ram , S21 5G 1080p 8gb ram.

People complain about a 15$ charger and they don t know about a lower quality screen and less ram.

I am not really a big fan of Qualcomm's always on camera for Snap 8 Gen 1

Samsung only cares about the Ultra model now, they make the base and + models garbage on purpose to make people want to buy the Ultra.

Anonymous, 14 Jan 2022Again 1080p display with low ppi. I just don't know wh... moreNeither phone has a UHD resolution. Most people cannot even see the difference between the 1440 and 1080 phone screens. Although I can see it. But for HDr content, the S21 has much higher nits than the S10 or S9. HDR is much more impactful than the resolution difference. Since it can be seen from any distance. And the 120hz refresh rate can also be seen from any distance. Unlike the resolution difference which cannot be seen from any distance.

My S21 is easily better than my S10 was. And it looks like the S22 will improve some on it. Although I don't see the need to go back to a glass back. Most people never even see the back of their phone since most people have their phone in a case.

I wanted to upgrade for that 120HZ so bought S21 ultra but had to give it away after week of using cuz it was so heavy and big it was unusable for me to hold it in one hand. Now Im waiting for phone that will be upgrade to S10 but there is simply none on the market right now. Wish samsung would bring back QHD screen on this one as i really love this camera bump design.

Again 1080p display with low ppi. I just don't know why?🤔 . Is increasing brightness ,or , is refresh rate 120hz is better than 1080p.

                                    Will using s21 . S21 display don't look great .

I played HDR 4k movie on S21 and I played same HDR 4k movie on S9

S9 display quality look better than S21.

                                    1080p on flagship?🤦‍♂️

I only have one option in phone company. It was Samsung

Because Samsung provides compact phone with 1440p display.

                                    Now that's option gone.

Is any one have explanation for this?

Samsung need to focus on the basics at least before the main features A slightly larger battery with that adaptive refresh rate of 10-120hz on all and adequate cooling and better storage options
