Bought this phone on 03/12. The battery is good. I was worried when I read the negative reviews of battery life. But so far I charge each day with about 35% battery remaining.
I had an issue with the stylus which was replaced by the service centre. I am upgrading my phone from S6 to S22 Ultra. So for me, it is a huge change. The phone is a brick with a case. But I think I can manage. For me, the camera and stylus are a big plus now. And I am really enjoying them.

Anonymous, 22 Mar 2022Can some actual users from usa confirm, I read this phone h... moreStick with 13 pro max, the only thing you'd gain is the S-Pen but everything else between 13 pro max and S22 Ultra is going to be 99% identical experience. In fact, the 13 pro max has better battery life in almost every comparison video I've seen. I have the S22 Ultra and my GF has the 13 pro max and we think both phones are nearly identical just one is iOS and one is Android. Signal quality on both our devices is basically the same from what we could tell. Neither of us had connection issues or both of us had connection issues at the same time. We're both on T-Mobile if that helps.

izi, 22 Mar 202216 is mainstream for PC? nqh... i made my laptop with 64GB... moreJust because you have lots of RAM does not mean the system or app should eat it all up. Modern OS should be designed to use RAM efficiently. Now Android has the ability to use more internal memory as RAM should it require. In computers, 32GB is nearly overkill. What do you plan with 64GB physical RAM? Simulate black holes?!

Kris17, 21 Mar 2022I wish people stop asking for more RAM. 12GB is plenty and ... more16 is mainstream for PC?
nqh... i made my laptop with 64GB just cos there are no single 64GB DDR4 that are compatible... less that 16GB on such a device is not good for the future.. anyway for next few years it shall be good enough... so it will go try few generations of the lineup,
my guess is that it will not need upgrade until s25 or so

I wish people stop asking for more RAM. 12GB is plenty and Apple does very well with 6GB. 16GB is the standard for a DESKTOP rig. Sometimes I even question myself my I bought 32GB in my main system, unless I do video editing 50% just sits there consuming power. It's not about how much you have, it's about how you use what you have. People have been sent to the moon with a lot less. Hmm...consumer logic...

I was on the verge of buying S22 ultra just for the s-pen which I miss oh so much, I am holding on my note 4 for that only (I don't use it now but I just love it so much). I wanted the S22 base model, but the battery was so laughable.
For now, I will stick with Xiaomi.

Gill, 12 Mar 2022Exact. Same for me. No card slot , no buy. I'll keep m... moreFor the average professional user an A series like A52s would be just fine. The A5x series has been the best selling product in the Galaxy range.
The excessive price increase to go to a S22 series is simply too hard to justify unless you wanted a stylus and hence the need for S22 Ultra. If Samsung can't reduce their prices for next year's S23 Ultra, perhaps they could consider targeting the mid range market by introducing a stylus enabled A series? Perhaps an A53s with stylus to capture the mid range stylus phone market vacated by LG Stylo and currently held by Motorola Moto G Stylus? I believe Samsung would continue to lose market share in this niche (stylus) segment to the likes of Motorola if they didn't do one of the 2 options - reducing S -Ultra prices or introducing an A-series with stylus. There is a segment of the market that needs a stylus, ruggedness like the LG Stylo, iris scan, MicroSD, MST all at a sensible price similar to an A53. This market is currently un satisfied. Samsung more than any other company can do it. Whether they will is another question.

I too considered buying the S22 Ultra to replace my Note 9. I baulked at the high prices and limited storage options among other issues. For the average professional user an A series like A53 or A52s would be just fine. The A5x series has been the best selling product in the Galaxy range.

Jenny, 20 Mar 2022I just got the cheaper version of Samsung s22 ultra. Please... moreThere's no such thing as a "cheap S22 ultra" and all have a SIM Card slot. If you don't have the Sim slot you bought a knock off for what, $100 - $150 USD? You get what you pay for and sometimes even less!

MDSN, 21 Mar 2022S22 Ultra is excessively priced and is underwhelming.
Sam... moreSome valid points you have raised but ignored the elephant in the room. The biggest drawbacks on the S22 Ultra is it's software and chipset. The S22 Ultra is the most problematic device Samsung has released since the Note 7. During production runs the wafers only produced a 30% rate of usable chipsets. Samsung/AMD had designed abclock speed of 1.9 GHz but at that speed overheating is impossible to contain. So instead of redesigning the chip they dumbed it down (throttled) to 1.34 GHz but even at the lower clock speed it still overheats. Quality Control is lacking as well. Many of the chipsets that should have been rejected have found their way into user's hands. Even after updates numerous users are upset with overheating and poor battery life.
Secondly, Android 12 paired with Samsung's skins OneUI 4.0/4.1 is nothing short of a disaster. After 4 "final releases" it's still buggy as hell with lags, stuttering and very poor compatibility with numerous apps including Twitter and YouTube. If someone gave me an S22 Ultra for free I'd give it back!
