Compare the Note 20 with the S22 Ultra and the improvements in the latter are blatantly obvious. I just bought the s22 ultra and I'm very happy with my decision. One more thing, keep in mind that this is a professional device that serves as a phone as well as a workhorse. If all you need is a simple phone then the s22 ultra is too much phone for your needs! no development over predecessor models like note 20 ultra and s21 ultra. this phone is more a decline, as it doesn't have an sd card slot (note 20 ultra had one). the camera is literally the same like the one in the s21 ultra. only the design has changed.

lol, to me it give us minimalist concept to people who dont like a bumper on a camera. still love it cause we always use casing duh.. but for those who use their phone naked, ill not recommended it.

For all the people that says s22 Ultra is the same as note20.
Maybe it looks simmilar outside but No it's NOT the same for sure.
Inside,
- the speed of all the memories,
- the version of the memmories,
- the cameras, wifi version, bluetooth version,
- the displays frash-rate and quality, the opportunity to see the screen
- much better when is sunny, are better and newer,
- the battery is much better, all these new part consume very less power.
- the proccessor with its GPU are much much faster check the becnkmark
- the PSU and the GPU consume less power wich makes that better and powerfull battery to last very longer.
Note 20 AnTuTu is : 508760
S22Ultra AnTuTu is more than: 900000
And all these make very very big difference.

Galaxy Note20 - 900$
S 22 Ultra 256G-12G-Ram with free Galaxy Buds - 1100$
So for 200$ you are geeting verry much more and this is hudge difference.

Apple till date have few handset & limited hardware variation where in Andriod has huge number of handset & hardware variation is countless

pp, 10 Feb 2022Samsung continues to differentiate and discriminate against... moreexynos processor now its in a level with snapdragon , because of the change they made , even the s21 ultra in day to day has no difference with game graphics photos , so either snapdragon 8 gen 1 or exynos 2200 is not more a problem to choose , maybe exynos this time is ahead of snapdragon just saying .

...the S22 Ultra is literally a Note in all but name.
The reason why they got rid of the Note branding is because the Note series used to be Samsung's ultra-premium phones, but that belongs to the Z series of foldables now, and Samsung didn't see the point in having two ultra-premium series. That and with the first S Ultra in 2020, the only real differences that the Note had was the different design, slight upgrades, and of course the S Pen.
So they turned the Note21 that likely would've released last year if they didn't decide on dumping the Note branding, and restructured it into the S22 Ultra.

I've been using S21 Ultra for over a year now, I was hyped and excited to see something new, some actual changes but all I see new is the processor, an integrated S-pen and a display with increased brightness. Also, the design looks like Note20 Ultra.
S21 Ultra is an amazing phone, considering I switched to Android from Apple after using iPhones for almost 11 years but I've come to a conclusion, when it comes to app optimisation and software updates, android is lacking behind. iPhones lack in features but iOS is optimised and is updated from time to time. In future, I may switch back to iPhone but overall my android experience was good and I'll continue to use this phone for a year more so.
But I'm highly disappointed with S22 series, I see nothing new if you have used it's predecessor.
