I agree that 8GB base is a bit low for an Ultra flagship like this, but even then I feel like the average person would only really need a maximum of 8 or 12GB RAM, right now at least, unless you're a big multitasker. 16GB or 18GB RAM is currently overkill for the average person. Hell, Apple phones only have a maximum of 6GB RAM right now, and those are still great.
- I'll admit and give you a point, 128GB for the base model is a bit dumb, especially without the microSD card slot. They should probably bring it back and make 256GB the minimum base for the S23 Ultra.
- Samsung limits 8K video to 5 minutes, they don't really want you to use up the entirety of your storage on 8K video and prefer that you use 4K instead. And even then, in what situation would the a̲v̲e̲r̲a̲g̲e̲ person need to use 8K video, unless they're recording something big that they want to be crisp clear?
- Going from 512GB to 1TB only adds $200 to the price, not $500. Going from 8GB/128GB to 12GB/1TB is a $400 difference. I do agree it is expensive though, even with keeping in mind that they're using the latest UFS 3.1 storage and latest phone RAM.

Samsung is giving an option for USB on the go. If one is little bit caring about the storage and back up stuff, I think USB on the go is almost equivalent to micro SD card slot; not that much convenient though.
The only let down possible in present generation of S22; is 8 GB version of S22 ultra. And obviously going Apple way and removing charger and head phone.

This is pretty expensive phone. Though it has some features (camera, pen, etc.) going on with that price tag. But other models, way overpriced for what they offer.

Simply just get the handset with the storage capacity that meets your need. I don't see the logic of getting a device with low storage capacity and then complaining about it afterwards.

Dear Samsung creators you should make 108 MP instead 12. Even my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has 16 MP for wide camera (16:9). Who needs your quality "4:3" if modern monitors and TV have 16:9 now? Or you think we will make the pictures 108 MP (4:3) and after that we will watch them on monitors and TV with black lines on the left and on the right? I'm not going to pay this money for 108 MP camera if I won't use it ! Why did you make same standart like i-phone? You are SAMSUNG !

No micro SD card slot.. Pfffff, that is more important to me than the spiders eye. This mobile will be an oven for sure. Why?5000mah. It was there for a reason, the phone can't live lone since its power hungry. the amoled screen is very bright also. I doubt it will last long on outdoor usage like UAE. Screen will become yellowish and hot AF when used outdoors. 1TB and 512 will cost your kidneys, and force u to buy a Bluetooth headphone and they will make it look like it was a freebie.

charley, 11 Feb 2022you can get up to 1T internal storage, how much do you need? Yes I know you can buy 1TB version and people keep asking why would you need more with as card slot. It's not about wanting more, it's about expandability and flexibility. If you already have a 1TB or 500GB as card you don't need to buy the $500 dollar more 1TB version, and when you upgrade later you don't need to spend more money on a phone with more storage. It's just a money grab, along with removal of 3.5mm jack. Now whoever needs it needs to buy an adapter. Bluetooth is not the same sound quality as wired. Money grab everywhere disguised as environmentally friendly or outdated. I call BS

No SD card slot is a big disadvantage. I want to buy this phone, because its specifications are very good. But when I knew there is no SD card slot, I reject it. SD card slot is very essential for data transfer when there is phone change.

If it had a micro SD slot you could swap in and out as many as you like. What they want you to do, is pay for their cloud services such as google. This has nothing to do with "evolving".
