it's a very good phone, in fact it's a very great phone.
yesterday I was at the retail store, trying the S24 Ultra. Feeling is not as premium as the S22 Ultra. Partly due to the lack of a curved display. It feels slightly thinner.
my experience with S24 Ultra and what's all new about it? Well, not much. It is definitely not worth to buy S24 Ultra if you have S22 Ultra, I would even dare to say it's not worth if you have S21 Ultra.
nowadays flagships are so good that you can easily go forward with it for 4/5 years. I would say as long as security updates go. There is only 1 thing and that is built in batteries. Fairphone 5 might not be a flagship but with a IoT chip it's futureproof for updates, and you can switch battery if needed.
in my opinion only a battery withholds a flagship phone for using it 6/7 years without problem.
S22 Ultra is in my opinion atm a better option than S24 Ultra.

Yesterday, I've spent the entire day outside, snapping family photos, streaming music, using navigation - by bed time I was left with 25% and 4h30m screen on time. Most of useless social media apps are in Deep Sleep (love the feature) and I am using the phone on 120Hz 1440p at all times. From my usage, 4G/5G doesn't seem to make much difference.

In love with this phone!!! Don't care about the AI features on the S24 ultra as I can use the Bixby feature to find same products rather than circle them, I can use Bixby to translate text for me in my language titanium frame doesn't fascinate me as I use a slim case which makes the phone lighter. I used it to take over 150 pics on a single charge and still had over 50% juice left for the next day. So I'm extremely happy with my S22 Ultra ❤️❤️

Only when idle, I mean when it’s in standby mode and you don’t use it, the battery drains quickly. But when you actively use it for browsing, watching videos and all it’s pretty ok really. This phone is amazing I mean it’s not without reason that after two years it still peaks in the top 4 of most popular Samsung phones on this website.

Hey, guys! Honestly, is the battery that bad as people say? (Considering the SD 8Gen1 variant) For example, compared to a S10+ (SD 855 variant)...
I am willing to update my phone, and would like the S22U, but battery is relevant to me...
I do a lot of calls and videocalls along the day (Whatsapp, Meet) and occasionally play games (Android, emulator, nothing competitive), browsing and streaming...

I just love this phone and I am not gonna change it anytime soon. This phone has everything I need in a phone and is very close to the newer flagships. Yesterday I went to a night market and clicked over 150 photos and next day morning the battery is still over 50% which is surprisingly good!! It's really a pleasure using the S22 Ultra.

I just bought the refurbished unit with the 8Gen1. Having both the 23U and the 24U as well, I strongly recommend buying this one and saving money, unless youre an avid gamer (battery life and sustained performance). The later generations offer nothing extra when it comes to real life, everyday experience and usage. In addition, out of all three models, the 22U has the best display of them all, albeit not as bright.
And to emphasize how good this phone is - even being a 2yo model at this point, it is miles ahead of all flagships coming from other companies.

Backup your data, do a factory reset, give the phone a week to figure out your usage patterns, and your phone will be as good as new. This is not something that is necessary to do at all times, but on ocassion it tends to make a mess.

Everything is good about the phone except the cameras. While taking indoor shots the skin tone is horribly over sharpened which makes the pics look like cartoon images, my previous S21 Ultra had no such issues but this one has highly disappointed me don't know what to do even the camera assistant doesn't help 'cause when I choose picture softening it makes the pics blurry. I wasn't expecting this from a flagship camera.

It was on one UI 5.1 & Sec.patch lvl 1st Oct..... now upgraded to one UI 6.0 & Sec. parch lvl 1st Nov 23'. 😍

I noticed while clicking human subjects the pics turned out to be over sharpened looking like oil paintings while zoomed in which wasn't the case on my S22+ as it had perfect skin tone with no distortion whatsoever even when zoomed in to 100%. Then I downloaded camera assistant from Galaxy store and switched to picture softening (medium) now the skin tone looks much better.
