For those who still complain about low brightness - its been 1 year did yous till not understand that this is 1750 nits screen verry bright just turn off adaptive brightness and turn on extra brightness options. This automatically switches on full 1750 nits of brightness and vision booster technology. Note that battery life is miserable in this mode as the screen is eating the battery verry fast but this is normal. If you dont need extra brightness its switched off the screen may be bit dim in direct sunlight for battery saving.
Its a matter of setting.

been owning s22u for a month now, i got it for $850 a korean variant 512gb storage. one thing made me feel inconvenient with the phone is charging speed even though i use a 45w adapter, it still takes more than an hour for it to get full charge coming from 10%.
i've gotten used with my oppo find x2 pro supervooc charging. it took about 30~40mins for a full charge from 10%. and especially when you charge it at 50% to full charge it only takes 20mins.
but SoT on both phone i could get 7hr SoT on s22u while 5hr on FX2pro (newly replaced battery).

2009, 19 Feb 2023Is the S22 Ultra better or the iPhone 13 Pro Max?You can't go wrong with either, to be honest... a lot depends on whether you prefer Android or iOS though.
And personally, I much prefer the look/design and small notch of the S22U over the "rounded" look and massive notch of the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

MickInTheHamlet, 19 Feb 2023Hello readers,
I’ve been a user of Samsung Galaxy Note 1... moreWhy did you copy and paste the same in S23U and S22U pages if it's very obvious you're just a jealous, chinese phone lover that can't handle the pressure because Samsung is the best? All you've written is just a false rant. Go and glorify your 300$ Vivo or Xiaomi garbage.
I don't even know why GSM admins deleted my previous reply. You're a brand new account, you're just trolling in the page of a phone you can't even afford. No one believes you!

2009, 19 Feb 2023Is the S22 Ultra better or the iPhone 13 Pro Max?Both great in their own ways. Depends on you. From experience I have both phones and iPhone 13 pro max is better for pubg mobile because it supports 90fps option and great battery life. Not saying s22ultra has a bad battery its good too but 13 pro max is better

Hello readers,
I’ve been a user of Samsung Galaxy Note 1, Note 3, Note 4, Note 7 (not for long…), Galaxy S7 Edge, Note 9 512 Gb/12Gb Exynos, Note 10+ 512Gb/12Gb Exynos and S22 Ultra 1Tb/12Gb Exynos. I wish I hadn’t bought the S22 Ultra. Multitasking is poor due to multiple lags which I never experienced on my Note 10+, especially when the TV application is streaming. The camera performances are poor : as a teacher I need to scan pages from textbooks from time to time. The edges of pictures are blurry and the text is not sharp. The same goes for landscape pictures : blurry edges. Furthermore, all pictures I take at zoom 2x (main sensor) come out with a grid pattern that is clearly visible when zooming in the pictures, especially in the skies.
Another issue I experienced last summer was the screen legibility under sunlight : I couldn't frame pictures as the screen was too dim. Not to mention the multiple bugs from some applications as well as the phone being slow switching from one application to another. As I had bought the phone from Samsung.fr, I sent them the device for repair (the closest repair centre would have been a two-hour drive) The service was poor as I never was able to follow the repairing process online. The fixing was also poor : not only did nothing change as to the phone’s way of operating but a thread got stuck inside the periscope 10x zoom.
Huge disappointment for a Samsung user since 2011.
I’ve ordered the S23 Ultra 1Tb though because of the significant discount that was on until 16 February made the phone at a three-digit price and also because I didn’t see any blurry pictures on the S23 Ultra I had the opportunity to put my hands on.
What I’ve been missing out from my Note 10+ is the 52mm telephoto lens with f/2.1 aperture. This is the focal length that got me the best pictures of the French Alps and Pyrenees. 26 mm focal length was too wide : mountains are too small in the pictures. Moreover, I’ve had enough of phone manufacturers making phones sporting wide focal lengths. I get the point : you can cram a lot of subjects into 24mm. But does that make the photo better ? Not to mention distortion in corners… I wish phone manufacturers put LOW APERTURE MULTI-ASPECT RATIO 35mm or 50 mm 20 to 50Mpx 1 INCH SENSORS on their phones…
Camerawise, I would have bought Vivo x90pro plus if the phone had been launched globally (don’t want to bother to get the phone from China with OriginOS and the risk of paying taxes from the customs). But I already know that Vivo’s 1 inch sensor (Well, Sony’s…) is way better than Samsung’s 200 Mpx sensor. Plus, the Vivo has 50mm and 90mm (only f/3.5 though) sensors that are also way better and bigger for taking pictures of landscapes than the Samsung’s tiny 3x telephoto sensor. In addition, between 3x zoom and 10x zoom, the picture is a crop from the tiny 3x telephoto sensor. As a result the pictures lack definition.
Some say that Samsung’s processing is better than Vivo’s. That might be true… or not. But, let's suppose it was true, wouldn't that processing deserve bigger sensors ?
Well, a phone is not only about the camera performance : there are also aspects to regard such as audio (loudspeakers, microphones, aptx…), android skin, usability, etc. But I’m not sure Samsung is doing better than Chinese manufacturers in these fields. Maybe I’ll find out soon…
