As it has lot of improvements from this phone.

I might wait till S25 release so that prices comes down for S23U, then exchange it.

There are lot of optimizations that can be done to improve the device usability/battery usage from XDA / Reddit forums.

With Android 14 and One UI 6.1, face unlock works much much better... Maybe they used some AI algorithms in this!

I have the Exynos variant, and I can say that the battery life is really bad. A 100% charge will get me about four hours of screen-on time while not doing anything that requires a lot of processing power (YouTube, social media). If anyone is considering this phone even now, in 2024, then I strongly recommend that you reconsider. Do not be lured in by the extremely discounted price because it's two years old. It sucks now, just as much as it sucked back in 2022.

My S22 ultra front camera suddenly became blurry this morning. All pictures taken using the front camera are low quality, blurry and poor. Not sure what could be the cause. Want to ask if anyone has face similar situations and were able to fix it.

Anonymous, 12 Jul 2024I got a renewed Samsung S22 ultra from USA, I live in Mexic... moreGo to samfw.com or sammobile.com, select your phone's model and variant, do a manual flash of the firmware using your PC or Laptop via Odin app. Make sure to download Odin and Samsung USB Drivers for it to work. Watch on YouTube on how to flash it if you're really eager to upgrade. Just BACKUP your personal stuff first before doing anything to your phone. If you don't want to risk anything, then forget about upgrading :)

Donz, 15 Jul 2024There wont be any feature changes in Security updates. ... moreSometimes there are small changes and small added features but they announce it, yesterday I downloaded and installed it and no changes. Also changes mostly are power management improvements when a former patch made the battery drain worse, but with over 300MB it seems a regular security patch.

I am waiting for a change of the AOD settings because I just don’t like you gotta do all with the Goodlock app now, and less AOD choices, while Samsung always offered one of the nicest AODs.

I got a renewed Samsung S22 ultra from USA, I live in Mexico. My issue here is that Im stuck on One UI 5.0 (Jan patch 2023), I havent received any update notification, or at least a minor security update.
I already contacted Samsung's Customer service, they told me to do some things (like giving them my IMEI and stuff like that); weeks passed and I got no response.
In conclussion, I am personally dissappointed considering the fact that Im paying for a premium phone with premium features not just in hardware but in software too, Im paying for up-to-date features that I should be using right now :(

Sadly my device is facing the infamous 'Sim network' loss issue.

Need to replace the Antenna Flex and USB board to fix it. But Samsung service centre guys were not able to read imei from motherboard (Imei appears fine in about section) due to which they were not able to replace the above 2 parts and were telling need to replace motherboard which obviously I denied.

                              - For now its happening rarely (Also using a backup device with call forwarding just in case)
                              - In case it happens frequently might try parts replacement in a local shop.

After years with Huawei Mate moved to this due to US ban.
Replaced the phone after one day because hardware issues caused repeated crashes in system apps.
After 6 months with the second phone, camera is dead. Nothing helps. See that many people have the problem and there's no solution meaning probably hardware issue. Very very disappointed. Bought a flagship and got this :(

Initially using the phone after Factory Reset/Installing all the apps, Battery was draining fast. (Haven't faced any heating issues yet, with Case)

Later tried all possible tweaks to improve the above drain. Now it feels better. (Today itself I got a chance to charge it completely to 100% and start using it from morning)

(I use max resolution, 120 fps, max processing speed, auto brightness, basic apps usage, no gaming)

The phone design, display and performance is lovely.
