In S23 Plus you will get best in class Processor, best battery life, good in weight and size with better overall Experience. It's your choice so choose wisely.

BlinG-BlinG, 26 Nov 2023Scanning a lot of documents is why i did not buy the S23+..... moreToday I bought the third s23+ in a row, again Banana Blur on the main camera, yes you can take photos of documents nicely with 3x zoom but I refuse to do it on a €1000 phone... My old 4 year phone can do it..
I don't even want to see that phone anymore..

Hi, I'm looking to replace my S21 Ultra. I'm currently torn between the S22 Ultra and the S23 Plus, as the S23 Ultra is still quite expensive. What do you think is the best choice? Is there a significant difference in speed and user experience between the Snapdragon Gen 1 and Gen 2?

Only solution i know of is to shoot with the zoom x2 or x3, and the picture should be clear on the edges.
But to frame a document correctly you will have to lift the phone higher, so it is difficult to look at the screen and hard to keep the phone steady at the same time. Worth a try though.

Trying to picture a d... moreWe have a FB group and even though they acknowledged the complaint and replaced the main module, the problem remained the same because they probably didn't have any other parts in stock. If it is possible to return the goods, I would do it, otherwise you can try a complaint, but in most cases it will be rejected.Good luck :)

lightning70, 23 Nov 2023What do you think, S23 plus or Xiaomi 13?
What do you thin... moreSamsung has better SW
I think Samsung has a slightly more refined camera application. also Samsung DEX
I also think that Samsung's updates will be better.
xiaomi does not have a 4K selfie camera
it probably depends on the preferences, the HW parameters are quite similar.
If Samsung had a defective banana gate main camera, it would definitely take the Xiaomi 13 in all directions

neo, 22 Nov 2023Answer is nope They would have to replace your camera modul... moreBut some of the S23 Plus variants does not have this problem like mine one, it takes awesome photos with much better focus on normal photos and documents also with no blur effect or any problem. I am lucky that i have got the problem free device, model number is SM-S916B/DS.

max123, 21 Nov 2023Hello! The banana gate issue has been fixed? Thanks.Answer is nope They would have to replace your camera module, because it's a HW problem, not a SW problem :) the solution is to get an S23+ with the correct module, or wait for the S24+ and pray that it doesn't have the same problem.

I had to sell mine due to financial issues and I'm on the a54 and you would never believe that the battery life is actually better on the a54 8/256 variant...
I really think that the differences are very few: hdr10+ content, however the screen is pretty much the same but the bezels,
Zoom on camera and the actual size, other than that, is the same phone for a not heavy user.

This is not a property of the optics, but a HW error of the lens, do you think we would complain about something that is a property of the optics? Funny Samsung has a serious problem that they are silent about, but most of us know about it..

Shadocx, 15 Nov 2023My question is, is this banana gate only on Samsung phones?... moreActually on many phones it is normal to have slightly blurred edges because of a shallow depth of field, so you can get as much light as possible. The phone will suffer from "banana gate" if the blurry patches are anywhere else, and it could be from misaligned lens.

Shadocx, 15 Nov 2023My question is, is this banana gate only on Samsung phones?... moreFor example, oneplus 11 does not have this problem, same Iphone 12
But it's easy, just take the printed A4 paper with the text and take a picture in portrait :) from edge to edge and you can immediately see if there is a problem or not. The sharpness of the photo should be noted. Bananagate mostly has a blurring of the circular Banana shape approximately in the middle of the upper part of the area.
