AnonD-1037771, 21 Jan 2023I would have been very interested in the Plus if it had WQH... moreFrom experience and tests, QHD is nothing but a performance hog on such a tiny display. FHD is as crisp and gives way better performance than with a QHD screen. So to hell with QHD screen.
256GB base storage using UFS 4.0 is better than anything with a microsd.
Anything more than 8GB RAM on a phone is a useless exaggeration to make them more expensive.
Only 3.5mm jack is a necessity.

I hope it will come with 512GB for real, S21+ & S22+ only came with 265GB, I need to smart switch my S20+ to newer phone but since then I was waiting for new version with more space.

Anonymous, 21 Jan 2023Love that flatter sides but dont like 195g of weightIsn't that the same weight has the S22+?

The bigger the phone, the heavier it will be. There is no way around that.

Personally, I wish they had a 6.4 inch version of the S23+. That would be a good middle ground in size for me when compared to the base model. The main reason I am considering getting the S23+ is because the S23 supposedly won't have UWB again, like the S22. At least the S23 has WiFi 6E this time around. But I also need UWB.

I need to go to a store sometime this week and look at an S22+. To see if I can actually use a phone that large on a daily basis. And that it won't be too big in my pants pocket. Or too large to hold.

Anonymous, 21 Jan 2023S20+ is 1080pI got my info from this site. They don't list it as being 1080. They show the S20+ 5G having a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels.

AnonD-1037771, 21 Jan 2023I would have been very interested in the Plus if it had WQH... moreThey won't do this, because then more consumers will buy the Plus model instead of the more expensive Ultra.

Samsung should give 100 mp camera wqhd+ display
Memory card support then it would be a great phone otherwise no difference than s22plus. Why samsjng repeat same phone everyyear like apple 13 &14. Only plus point sd8gen 2 shich is made in tsmc foundry otherwise its same form last year s22 plus

I would have been very interested in the Plus if it had WQHD+ display with over 500+ PPI display density. FHD display is just a bad joke on a HIGH-END FLAGSHIP that has a display larger than 6 inches. What is this? A series or S?!

                    NO WQHD+ = NO BUY !
NO SD card slot = NO BUY !
                    NO 3.5mm jack = NO BUY !
                    NO 12GB RAM = NO BUY !

Anonymous, 20 Jan 2023Buy the ultra, better resolution And spend over 1.5 thousand dollars on it? Hell no you're insane.

                        GAMIR3DH, 20 Jan 2023So i guess the cameras/features/chipset aren't importa... moreThe cameras/features are all mid.

The telephoto camera can only do 3x optical and not much digital as it's 10MP and the sensor is tiny. The main camera is a generic 50MP sensor. Not much special there, it's not even a very big sensor. The ultrawide camera is a pretty generic one too with no redeeming features.

No jack. No card slot. No UD/pop up/flip camera or sliding display. No super fast charging. Slow as hell wireless charging.

The chipset isn't special. Tons of cheaper better phones already have 8 Gen 2s.

What are you expecting me to think of as important? What justifies them selling this for over 2x what they should?

Anonymous, 20 Jan 20231300 dollars is for the ultra version, not this No, the ultra version clearly says 1420 EUR, which is even more expensive.

                            1220 EUR?? 💀

A lower 1200 nit screen on the S20+ compared to a 1750 nit screen on the S22+?
And old 2020 SoC compared to a 2022 SoC?
A 6.7 inch screen compared to a 6.8 inch screen
A 3x hybrid zoom compared to a 10x optical? etc..

In no world is the S20+ better than the S22 Ultra.

And you certainly cannot see the resolution difference between 1440x3200 with the S20+ and the 1440x3088 of the S22 Ultra.

thebrick, 20 Jan 2023This is way too expensive for this somehow improved specs f... moreHow are they fooling people? The resolution is clearly in the specs. Which has basically been the same resolution since 2021. Nothing is wrong with the resolution.

Personally, I'm more interested if there is an increase in nits with the S23+ over the S22+. A higher peak nits is much more useful to me than a higher resolution.
