notafanboy, 18 Jan 20231080p on a tiny 6.6" display is fine. Reminder: 27&quo... moreIndeed, any resolution over 1080p is useless, consume more power and so generate more heat.
Still a lot of people and even respectable reviewers don't understand this yet ... like the curved edges wich reduce the interactive surface not to mention the weird touch behaviour !
for me 1080p & flat is a pros / 1440p & curve = cons

Anonymous, 18 Jan 2023The last plus. Good riddance.Samsung could sell the small variants like hot cakes ... if the price is fair enough compared to the competition, otherwise this will be a big loss.
The ultra variant is too much expensive no matter the hype you see here and there on the net !

OPtiC, 18 Jan 2023The SAD THING IS that they even use a 1080p screen on S23+.... moreTrue. I miss the S20 series when they used to put QHD on all models. Even Xiaomi still includes QHD on their plus/pro models.

Very very boring design.
And I don't wanna pay for this $1000+. It's true Samsung's S+ series(s21 s22 and s23) is a complete failure
