PG97, 13 Feb 2023One reason I switched from Android was mainly battery life.... more4-5 years updates hardware elaborate? iPhones break also . Samsung do same years now software updates. According to Geekbench one of the most accurate ways to assess the battery life of any device is to check its partial discharge benchmark. First, I conducted the app's partial discharge test, which dims the screen, and runs processor-intensive tasks for 3 hours straight. The battery capacity of the iPhone X was at 40 percent at the end of three hours, giving it a score of 2,566. In contrast, Samsung S9 had a battery capacity of 63%, allowing it to achieve a score of 4,592.

Welcome to the party. A bit late, but better than never. Had you been around in 2012, the golden age of Android OS, you would have seen how much more functional it was.

The Android of today is only a shadow of what it was in 2012. Google has creepily added many restrictions over time.

                        i have samsung s23 now

Anonymous, 13 Feb 2023"Damn, I forgot to charge my fancy $400 Bluetooth head... more??? They charge while in the case.
At least my Samsung ones that cost less than half as much do. Although I used my S22 credits last year to purchase them. So it only cost me around $30 out of pocket

I have an option of buying the s23 (256gb) for 770€ (+/- 825 USD; +/- 860 GBP). Is it a good choice? Or is it a Pixel 7 (128gb) a better option for around 150€ less? These are the two brands that i'm considering. I won't use the phone for heavy gaming, mostly for photos, social apps, messaging, music, youtube and streaming.

Having recently got a iphone 13 to try out, I have to say the OS is a lot less functional.

I thought about switching back to Samsung, but then again my pixel 7 pro was just 800€ and offers better photos (blind comparisons, not my own opinion), more battery, faster charging. The SOC doesnt matter, even the 855 is still enough to run all games properly, the tensor can do other stuff pretty much better than any snapdragon. And also: Pixel phones are mostly Samsung phones, so quality is the same. Ill wait for the pixel 8 pro to decide.
