Anonymous, 22 Jan 2023Rubbish not everyone is on phone 24/7, S22 get you through... moreYea I mean ofc if you do something heavy it will drain the battery. The only phone that is small yet has great battery is Zenfone 9. They had to have some crazy engineering (they had to make the corners sharp) to put a 4300mAh cell in that small body (which is about the same size as the S23). And s23 has wireless charging, telephoto and a glass back which Zenfone 9 doesn't, so I reckon the absolute max u could fit into the S23 is 4000-4100.
I mean look, 3900 mAh isn't amazing but it's a good first step. We'll see how the battery life pans out, along with the new efficient 8 Gen 2 chip.

Last time they made good phones was Galaxy S20 series

I know some of these tech journalists are already using this phones and waiting for the right time to tell us if it's worth it or it's a shit or just give us some biased reviews.. who knows..

Why Samsung didn't upgrade it to 108mp S22 Ultra sensor?!

Why would anyone upgrade to his from S20-S21-S22?

The battery is a little better than the 3700 mah from the S22. I still think they should have gave it a 4000 mah at least. Because battery life was not good, I hope they worked on making battery life better.

Trade-ins is really good but people coming from midrange or low-end phones cant do that. Its easier said than done. If it was the case, more people would upgrade by trade-ins.

Anonymous, 22 Jan 2023Samsung released Galaxy A23 5G with single rear camera, IP... moreWas it just released in Japan? My GF has a Samsung Galaxy A23 5G, she got it here in the US.

It's also a slow phone, when compared to the Galaxy S Series. My GF really likes it. But for me, I could not go from using a Galaxy S phone to the A23. It is just way too slow for me.

[deleted post]Just like most other phones. Especially Apple phones. So what is the problem? The retail price is always way more than the phone actually costs or should cost. This is nothing new. I would hope most people don't pay the retail price for the phone. Just like any other electronic device. You can typically get them for less than the retail price. Plus, you can get cash back by other means, further reducing your cost.

[deleted post]Who pays the retail price for these out of pocket? I never have. For the base S series, I typically get them at launch for around $250 to $300 out of pocket, after trade in and cash back. Plus, I get the credits that come with the pre-order deals. That you can use in the Samsung store.

Still deciding if I will get the S23+. Supposedly, the base S23 doesn't have UWB again. Like the s22. If that turns out to actually be the case, then I will need to get the S23+. Even though I really don't want a screen that large. So I'm not sure what my out of pocket cost will be for the S23+.

Worst case, I switch back to two-year upgrade cycles. I always get three or four years no interest, directly from Samsung, anyway. I've just always paid it off within a year. But if I switch back to two-year upgrade cycles. Then I will just pay off the no interest financing within two years instead.
