AlexHimself, 20 Oct 2023NO SD CARD SLOT then bye bye! Any brand, any spec, no matte... moreThat's why I only look at Sony as my next new phone. Only they have the common sense to keep such a still-relevant feature, alongside the headphone jack, on smartphones in 2023 and even make the microSD card slot completely toolless. The only reason why I even bother to look at other phones in the first place is because of the camera and Desktop Mode capability, that's all.

Friend , 21 Oct 2023Why card slot and jack started stopped which is necessity..Because money and profit, simple as that. If you think of it, Sony can easily continue selling their phones without the headphone jack as they did with the 2018 and 2019 flagships. I even remembered Sony citing "the rising trend of wireless audio" as the reason for it during the XZ2 launch. But alas, someone at Sony realized it was a bad idea to follow the trend and put it back on the 2020 Xperia 1 Mk2 while also keeping it to this day.

AvgpPhPhoneUser, 22 Oct 2023Yes, 1 TB SSDs/HDDs are cheaper than a 1 TB SD card. The is... moreI never experienced such a thing with any of my year-old microSD cards despite my highly abusive usage of any of them. If it's a cheap China clone, I can agree with you.

magnaroader, 22 Oct 2023Bro you can get portable tiny ssds for relatively cheap, I ... moreI never like to bring portable hard drives around as they can easily get lost without realizing it, which also goes the same with USB-C card readers. There's also the hassle of waiting for all the files to be transferred to the portable hard drives when the recorded videos and photos can be directly stored onto the microSD card itself in the first place.

justasmile, 22 Oct 2023I'd take the ridiculous look of the HDD over the highe... moreI've been using my Kingston 512GB microSD card for my LG V50 for more than a year now, and it still never fails me despite regularly shooting 4K/60fps HDR10 video with it. The only moment I had a failed microSD card was when I bought a cheap China clone that only lasted about six months. Meanwhile, the Kingston is a genuine product with a factory-backed warranty, and I couldn't be any happier.

samirr, 21 Oct 2023lol seems that you've never used phones with no sd car... moreWell, some people also think it's normal for manufacturers to remove chargers or headphones from the box while continuing to charge high prices, which is absurd. It doesn't matter what you think and whether or not the guy used a device that doesn't have it, that option shouldn't go away. Brands already put useless things that people won't use and you don't even bother, anyway. They make a fool of the consumer and yet there are those who justify it.

justasmile, 22 Oct 2023I'd take the ridiculous look of the HDD over the highe... moreMy 32GB SanDisk Extreme, which I bought from a camera store for my camera, has failed me 2 times. This is due to the fact that SD cards require formatting and deleting is different from a computer's one. Yes, deleting images inside the camera isn't advisable.
