We gotta wait for the battery tests, but it is expected that this exynos chip is from this year, with better yield, so it should be better in terms of efficiency than the S22. Samsung's fast charging is a joke compared to other Chinese brands. That 45w charger is about 1-3% faster than the 25w for the S23 series, so definitely not worth it.

Finally, a decent phone with reasonable bezels. Might be able to actually use it without a bulky case. It might not look as pretty as the edge-to-edge designs, but is far more functional. I have an S22 Ultra and cannot hold it without activating the screen without it being in a case that defeats any "benefit" of the bezeless design.

What amused me the most was the graphics with the battery. The cell is still 4,500 mAh and the processor is the least energy efficient ever. Yes - with such a battery you can definitely watch another episode. As long as it lasts about 5 minutes. Loading is at an equally embarrassing level. They were limited to 25W.

Comparing this to A54 is a joke. This phone is much better in all the aspects except from battery life.
Finally a real upgrade for the FE series. Let's be honest, the S21FE had almost no improvement from S20FE (that's my take of why there wasn't a S22 FE). This phone brings adaptative 120Hz, main camera of 50 MP (the same as S23) with nightography, 8k video recording and glass in the back, let alone the much better chipset. The downgrades of Gorila Glass 5 instead of Victus and the virtual proximity sensor are minimal, since every body uses a case ands screen protector. The frontal 10 MP camera must be better than the 32 MP camera from S20/21 FE. The only real problems are the big beezels and the weight. No SD card sad but it seems like we won't see them again in any flagship phone.

Why is this shipped with Android 13, if we're days away from Android 14 for Samsung (OneUI6)? I am certain there will be regions in which android 14 will be available at the launch of the phone. I hope they upgrade this phone to Android 18, otherwise that would be really mean.

Carl Ken, 09 Oct 2023 Not a Gorilla Glass Victus 😔I have had A9 with Gorilla Glass 5. The screen is scratched easily compared to my s21 fe victus. Putting the phone in a bag with keys and nothing happens compared to A9 GG5 which does scratch.
