The Galaxy Note 4 was probably the best phone of i... moreI could not agree more - a vintage phone with all the nice features from the past like headphone jack, replaceable battery, sd-card-slot, wider flat rectangular screen, more physical buttons, fm-radio and so on with all the good things from the present like OLED, IP68, stylus and large battery would be an incredible success and would make headlines... Samsung should do this as a Fan edition...

I dislike the curved screen but neveetheless I might buy it because my Note 9 did run out of security updates (after a few months with the Note 9 I vowed never to buy a curved screen again - ugly and pointless). There needs to be more choice and differentiation for customers in the flagship phone segment.

Pacobunny15, 15 Dec 2022Just buy a smaller phone. That's your solution!not a solution if compact phones are almost absent.. especially in flagship and midrange segment. they usually found in under specced phones. which is worse than an entry level.
minimum size possible is the zenfone 8 and 9. but they have terrible customer support. whenever a user have problems with the unit.

They really need to re-introduce a "vintage" - style high-end phone with all the great stuff like audio jack, user-replaceble battery etc, and of course allow rooting by the user. There is definitely a market for this type of device.
However, I think, Samsung is afraid, that such a device would cannibalize the sales of all their other high end devices and thus impair their margins.
