Anonymous, 03 Sep 2024Maybe because Xiaomi and Poco don't have many users in... moreYou think? Xiaomi may not sell their phones in the US, but they're the world's #2 Android maker at the moment. They've shipped 42M phones in Q2 2024, which is just behind Apple at 45M, and Samsung at 53M.

They may have shipped 9M less phones than Samsung, but 42M is hardly a small number at all. And if you think it's because they don't release as many phones this year as Samsung, you're wrong. Xiaomi have so far released 25 phones in 2024, whereas Samsung have only released 17.

So what's the conclusion then? Xiaomi users don't care about compact phones as much as Samsung users, so hardly anyone asks for them to be made?

Anonymous, 03 Sep 2024Don't think you can get the vanilla s24 with 12gb ram,... moreIt's kind of dumb that the midrange A55 can have 12gb of ram but there is no 12gb ram model for the flagship S24. I don't know why it's listed as having a 256gb 12gb ram model on gsmarena because it doesn't exist as far as I'm aware.

Anonymous, 30 Aug 2024Your talking about mobile phones.....That many find heavy and unwieldy to use. My hand hurts after using these big things for a while. A budget phone that's lighter is very important to me and many others apparently.

That's a very odd ... moreXiaomi and Poco do the exact same thing as Samsung - one compact flagship, but no compact budget phones, alongside pointless duplicates under the Poco branding. Yet almost no one in their respective forums complain and beg for them to make small budget phones. How strange.

Anonymous, 02 Sep 2024Grow up. Also, sometimes there are things that others care... moreUnderstandable, but if you think those people shouldn't care about your advocating, then you shouldn't care about them too. How hard is it for you to not reply to their comments and just move along? Life's too short to police other people's thoughts, and if you can't accept that, you're the one who needs to grow up.

Anonymous, 03 Sep 2024True. If a billion-dollar corporation won't care about... moreNobody's "clinging". That's a very odd word to use anyway. People just want a S24 sized phone with specs like the A55, A35, or the like.

And Samsung actually is "able to cater to your needs" (i.e. compact budget phone), they just don't WANT to.

But I agree with you that all budget customers should leave Samsung. Maybe that'll teach them that budget customers are not to be stepped on. Samsung produces tons of similar budget phones as if they're different "choices" to fool and trick people.

If a billion-dollar corporation won't care about people's comments here, then you shouldn't expect them to be able to cater to your needs either. They don't make stuff because people ask for them, that's not how businesses work.

Just find another corporation to cling on to like Google, it's not that hard to find a cheap compact phone if you look hard enough. The Pixel 7a can still be had for a decent price while stocks last, otherwise wait for the Pixel 8a to go on discount.

Here's the thing - you can't change people or the world, you can only change yourself. You can start by ignoring this comment and moving on to better things.

It's not that compact phones don't sell, it's just that Sharp hasn't made a name for themselves in the smartphone market in Indonesia, and because I feel like the Sense8 has almost nothing going for except for the compact size.

That's... moreYou can't expect people to stop caring when you keep doing the same thing by calling them out. Newsflash, nobody's going to change their minds. And you're only making a fool out of yourself by making such silly comments like these:

"If there's someone here that sounds like a kid, it's you. Enough said."

"If there's one arrogant person here, it would be you. Just read your comment again. But first take out the headphones you're listening to so you can concentrate."

It originally retailed for $387, but has since been discounted to $260 because almost no one buys it.

                                        https://m.gsmarena.com/sharp_aquos_sense8-12904.php

And... I can honestly see why, it looks really ugly with those massive bezels and notch. Also a mono speaker and super slow 18W charging.

Sharp phones are relatively recent in my country, but not a single one has impressed me, including the Sense8. They're all just practically waiting to be e-waste amongst the cluttered competition, especially from the likes of Samsung and Xiaomi.
