Nobody should buy the Exynos version of S24. It takes worse pictures and has worse battery life than S23 and it gets hot too. Better buy S23 if you cannont get your hands on Snapdragon S24.

No memory card slot for a phone worth a thousand dollars ? WTF !!!

Camera is subpar for this class. Way, way worse than the same Galaxy line-up years ago (S20FE former user here). Too bad I cannot share the side by side comparison here. It must be down to software optimization and image processing setup, since the same hardware is used since S22.

Too bad since everything else is 10/10...Display, battery, performance, handling. If update don't improve camera it's bye bye Samsung after a decade!

Anyone got the S24? The display is sluggish from the time i started using it. My friend who got the same model has a smoother experience. That's the only issue i have with mine.

If i talk about general usage battery life is equal or better than my s23, so Exynos not creating any issue with the battery backup and its running cooler as well with daily multimedia task, so i would say for this size of phone, battery backup will be considered as good as there are almost no flagship andriod phone with this compact screen size. It cannot beat the battery backup of a midrange phone or the flagship like plus model or Ultra but for this size battery will last whole day in moderate usage but if you do continuous gaming or heavy task then it might degrade faster. So usage pattern will matter and real test will be in summer that how it will perform but overall its on par with s23 or better as of for now.

I have bought it yesterday and I dropped it on a wooden floor from my bed (around 0.5m height) and the screen is scratched... My old S20 which I still use, doesn't have any scratch on the screen! I am really surprised...

Samsung just need to provide a slider. On the left is "Natural" on the right is "Vivid". Users can move slider to their desired level of saturation. No fuss, everyone happy.

Sammy, 04 Feb 2024I too have both phone but find the S24 much brighter/more v... moreI agree, my friend has s21 FE and I have S24 and 23 both but S21 Fe display quality is not better than s24 however my S23 colors are more vibrant and punchy as compared to my new S24 in Vivid settings. Its not like that S24 colors are bad but on same brightness levels S23 colors pop out more. It may be due to new LTPO display use on S24 or it may be intentionally by Samsung to make it more natural or it may be due to chipset as in my region S24 has exynos so color tuning might be different due to that.

I still keep somewhere the old S9 that my wife used long time ago. It still works and so I can admire the lost technology of the Elders: the curved screen, the audio jack, 3D touch zone, iris scanner, and hi-res screen. Its color is called Sunrise Gold and it is really beautiful.
S24 is nice but I do miss old Samsung.

Competition is good especially with crazy prices of TSMC, QC...

BUT, when I see more than ten 23w peaks in Geekbench, even for a few sec, and selling that at 900, I can only think it's a scam.

It matches what 'expert' about fab are saying for months, Samsung 4nm is still 12-18 months behind TSMC. Maybe with 3nm they would catch up, for now to me it is, wait and see.
