Another overpriced Failed edition from Samsung, no SD card in 128 version no audio jack and maybe small battery life.

In order to sell far inferior bt buds.. desperate fact that devices are getting insanely bigger in the last few years, but "somehow" there is no place for audio jack. Todays smartphone market are soooo boring, differences between devices are minors.

This is utterly bad and becoming worse every year for FE cellphone fans. Samsung will kill this lineup soon anyway with this Exynos A5x and FE series. At least bring back A7x with snapdragon chip.

For those people who compare this with A55...
Bro A55 can't even get near to the S24 Fe in terms of camera and performance. It's camera is around s24 and sometimes better at night. It's performance is only 9% weaker than s24 in geekbench. With a 650$ price tag vs 800$

I tried it, that phone is huge and heavy...same size as Ultra. Won't change my S21 FE for that brick...how about Samsung making an FE mini with 6.4" screen ?

Eve... moreThe Ultra offers the better screen and the S Pen, but this fights back with three years more software support, and the last time I checked the S23U didn't actually have much cheaper contract offers here (UK) than the S24U, so... Effectively this becomes a downclocked S24+ (remember, Exynos on that one here) with a 1080p screen instead of 1440p and a few other minor spec downgrades. (Of those, for me it's actually the optical instead of ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that's the big dealbreaker - one of my few issues with the S20 FE 5G I've been using for three years is the optical sensor and the light it needs setting my photophobia off in the dark 🦇)
If there's enough of a price gap to the S24+ I could see myself recommending this to someone looking for a long-term set-and-forget daily driver. Which is quite a few people!

Why's Samsung not doing something new? Same old design .. I'm start to hate this now.
S21 was something great but since S22 and onwards, same old back look.

Just spoke to Vodacom. Only the 128GB version will be available locally and the price is R13 999. There's no way I'd pay R13 999 and get a device with 128GB of storage and no SD slot. I'd rather get the A55, skip some of the features and save R7000

Well, just like any other device, there will be people who are happy with their chosen device and some, will have something to say about it. Each to their own. However, I will say this seeing that we live in a 3rd World Country and in today's financial climate, people want the best bang for their buck which is proven why mid-range devices are so popular these days and flagships sales are decreasing. Even Samsung knows that. Their A-devices are their bread & butter.
I personally don't have an issue with the S23 FE but if these FE's are really called "Fan Editions", they would've taken the fans' opinions on board and added the SD slot and Audio jack. They don't. When the S23 FE launched in South Africa, the device were priced at R15 999...that was a mere R2000 less than a base S23 and double the price of an A54 which gave you the exact same storage, same RAM and even an SD slot. So, I could purchase 2x A54's for the price of 1x S23 FE. Yes, there are features missing on the A54 which are present on the S23 FE but does it justify the whopping R8000 price difference? Absolutely not! So basically, it came down to pricing and Samsung missed the plot on that one. That's why the A55 isn't available in the USA...they know the A55 will slaughter the S23 FE sales because you get more bang for your buck with the A55 than with the S23 FE. Again, not in all countries because some countries have better deals and trade-in deals than that we have in South Africa but if you compare the S23 FE with the A55, the A55 will offer you more value for your money than the S23 FE and that is evident in sales. Samsung South Africa did not drop the price of the S23 FE to the point that it's competing with the A55 for nothing and the S24 FE is going to suffer the same fate...the phone is going to be expensive here and it just wouldn't make sense getting, especially when it's priced just under the base S24 but 2 times more expensive than the A55...
