Anonymous, 27 Sep 2024Lool you guys can never be satified with anything. With the... moreHello. Also from South Africa!

Well, just like any other device, there will be people who are happy with their chosen device and some, will have something to say about it. Each to their own. However, I will say this seeing that we live in a 3rd World Country and in today's financial climate, people want the best bang for their buck which is proven why mid-range devices are so popular these days and flagships sales are decreasing. Even Samsung knows that. Their A-devices are their bread & butter.

I personally don't have an issue with the S23 FE but if these FE's are really called "Fan Editions", they would've taken the fans' opinions on board and added the SD slot and Audio jack. They don't. When the S23 FE launched in South Africa, the device were priced at R15 999...that was a mere R2000 less than a base S23 and double the price of an A54 which gave you the exact same storage, same RAM and even an SD slot. So, I could purchase 2x A54's for the price of 1x S23 FE. Yes, there are features missing on the A54 which are present on the S23 FE but does it justify the whopping R8000 price difference? Absolutely not! So basically, it came down to pricing and Samsung missed the plot on that one. That's why the A55 isn't available in the USA...they know the A55 will slaughter the S23 FE sales because you get more bang for your buck with the A55 than with the S23 FE. Again, not in all countries because some countries have better deals and trade-in deals than that we have in South Africa but if you compare the S23 FE with the A55, the A55 will offer you more value for your money than the S23 FE and that is evident in sales. Samsung South Africa did not drop the price of the S23 FE to the point that it's competing with the A55 for nothing and the S24 FE is going to suffer the same fate...the phone is going to be expensive here and it just wouldn't make sense getting, especially when it's priced just under the base S24 but 2 times more expensive than the A55...

My main concern with this phone is the battery. Although, 4700mAh and a 6.7" screen don't sound that bad... Considering that it doesn't have a QHD display like the S24+.

Also, Samsung needs to change their camera layout. The camera layout is hindering them from putting a bigger battery - vertical isn't always better.

      Note:
The Exynos 2400e has just one CPU difference.
The main Cortex X4 Core is 3.11GHz down from 3.2GHz. apart from that, all the other CPU cores are the same.
The GPU has not been released yet - but it could be a slightly under locked Xclipse 940.

Colors are too bland. Even lower end phones have much better back colors and design.

My only concern is no LTPO.

Lool you guys can never be satified with anything. With the S23 FE you used to complain about the bezels, the cpu and the battery.

With the S24 FE they made improvements in all those areas, and yet you still complain.

At this point just go buy those flagship phones (the base models, the plus and the ultras) or just stick with the A series if you can't afford. Cause y'all want all the flagship features on the FE which is just unreasonable and dont make sense, because who will then buy those flagships any more if all those features are in the FE?

I used to the A series (my last was the A52) and Im now using the S23 FE and I am so happy with it (though I was bothered with the overheating I got in the first 3 days or so).

Im happy with the 23 FE because I wanted those extra features I couldn't get on the A series like the ai, wireless charging/reverse charging so I can charge my watch with it, better camera , better performance and the samsung dex and all my needs are met in the 23 FE. Like every phone its by no means perfect but I love it.

Im using the exynos version works just fine, so I also don't get where the fuss is about that one, and the bezels? Those are nice life problems. I'm from South Africa and if I wanted the the S23 with less bezels I would have to pay R5000 more which is is just stupid to me because I would just put on the cover anyway.

My point is as much as I am happy with the S23 FE. I know there will be those who are happy with the S24 FE especially once its on sale and complainers will always complain while there are some of us who are happy with what they offer at a less price than those expensive flagships.

The FEs are not flagships phones nor are they A series phones, they just the FEs and I dont get the point of comparing them as they just in their own lane.

And to all those complainers just buy the flagship or stick to the A series or just go buy other phones, we just tired of your complains and some of you act like you what you talking about when it comes to specs and you don't.

Actually, I like it, but there are 3 problems:

                              1-Big bezels
                              2-No AOD wallpaper
3-It’s an optical fingerprint scanner. My problem is not with the scanner type, but with the scanner placement.
If they fix all these problems, this phone will be a flagship killer.

Anonymous, 26 Sep 2024Never buy FE Its battery is a disasterAgreed. Dont waste your money for fan edition galaxys. Save money and buy snapdragon galaxy

I see lots of people comparing this phone to others but c'mon, for a brand new phone with these kind of specs you have to accept that its pretty good.

I'd be mighty glad to get the S23 Ultra over this. Even the older S22+ looks much better & is cheaper than this.

That's a terrible battery capacity and possibly similar endurance to last year's already disappointing S23 FE.

David 040882, 26 Sep 2024New chipset, slightly bigger battery, and better protection... moreThat's the Samsung way, which makes me wonder if "Fan Edition" still does make any possible sense.

Slightly bigger battery and better protection over the screen are indeed welcome, people keep asking for that all the time, but... Do they crave for a phone with Exynos, the same camera set and charging speed from previous gen and a rather unfriendly pocket size?
