LTRace, 18 Jan 2024That's why Sony is better, I cannot live without SD Ca... moreThe speed of UFS 4.0 is extremely more faster (and reliable) than a microSD card, it makes no sense to ask for microSD in 2024 for flagship phones, I understand it for low range or even mid range ones, under 300-400 but if you can spend 1000 on a phone what sense does it make to put a much inferior memory into your phone... as the fastest microSD is still much slower than UFS 4.0 and with USB 3.2 you can share things from your phone to your PC much faster than with a SD reader.

Even the last two Z family have been itirative and today the best foldable in terms of hardware is Oneplus Open and others, and Pixel Fold in terms of software. Don't get the wrong idea here. Just look at other companies porfolio and you will see the facts. OneUi is a great take on Android (remember TouchWiz). Samsung has always been remembered as a copy cat from the days of Nokia till now. They have had innovative products occassionally, however my take here is they should bring original ideas atlest to their flagships not CTRL C> CTRL V from Apple ( design).
However, these are my opinions at the end of the day and yours might vary. Enjoy!

Xedius, 18 Jan 2024Sony Xperia 1 V has microSDXC and 3.5mm jack.That's why Sony is better, I cannot live without SD Card slot. W Sony for still adding this very missing feature on newly releasing devices.

I'm not going to pay more money for them to remove the SD card slot. Otherwise, it looks pretty good. It's just not going to work for me.

I've seen 'at least' 2025 so not necessarily paid later. Except that, I've noticed 'possible service fee for some AI features' in one paragraph (local website version) plus notes summarization is only available for some languages. All this does need to be clear before pay for a product. It's still early but hopefully details will be declared louder no matter whether by Samsung or reviewers or whoever is involved.

IMO if there is no card slot there is no reason to swap my S20 Ultra out for this "upgrade".

S24 Ultra copies iPhone 15 Pro Max 100%. I'm sick of Android phone companies consistently following Apple's footsteps.
1. Titanium body
2. Flat screen/display
3. Apple's iOS-like full wallpaper always-on-display.
4. 100$ price bump (from 1200$ to 1300$) just like Apple.
5. 5x telephoto! (from 10x to 5x downgrade just to copy iPhone 15 Pro Max!)
6. OneUI 6.1 is 80% copy of iOS 17.
7. no charger in the box just like Apple.
8. no headphone jack just like Apple.
9. Same design (S23 Ultra design) as last year.
no one gonna buy should android phone with 1300$ when Pixel 8 is 700$ cheaper. I bought S23 Ultra with 1200$ and often my friends ask me why I use cheap android phones why not iPhones. even though S23 Ultra is more expensive than iPhone 15 Pro Max, people thinks android phones are cheap. also, android companies consistently following Apple's footsteps. why? because even they know Apple is superior. I'll never buy an android phone again.
suggestion: please don't buy 1300$ android phones people don't understand it and make you feel cheap. if you got 1300$ just buy iPhone 15 Pro Max which is like 1200$.

I almost bought this phone to replace my 4 years old Realme Xt. until I saw a footnote that stated :
"Galaxy AI features will be provided for free until the end of 2025 on supported Samsung Galaxy devices. Different terms may apply for AI features provided by third parties."
without a clear explanation, what features are included on that term.
that was a dealbreaker for me...
