Anonymous, 24 Aug 2024for that price (or even 1/3 of the price) I would go for a ... moreToo often do I see people saying "Why buy X when I can just buy Y, which is more useful". Everyone has the freedom to do whatever they want to do with their own money, and it's not your right to tell people what they should and shouldn't be spending on.

I mean sure, a $2000 designer sweater is not more useful than a $20 homemade sweater in terms of protecting you from the cold. A $500 wagyu steak is not more filling than a $5 fried chicken meal set. But hey, if you're filthy rich, you'd most likely not want to spend your money on the cheap stuff, because most rich people need to show others that they have class.

The best smartphone. Finally, I concede it is better than even the noisy iPhone 15 Pro Max or the latest Pixel phones in terms of low light photography. Forget Pixel phones' Night Sight. The S24 ultra's night mode is much better. In terms of specifications and software features and customizability, it's also the best (iPhones are the worst). Hardware too and even software support is better than even Google's Pixel phones. The only thing the S24 ultra doesn't beat on Pixels are some of the still Pixel AI exclusive photoediting stuff (add me, reimagine, best take, zoom enhance, auto frame, etc.) which the S24 ultra doesn't have a similar implementation yet. But I'm sure, Samsung will offer it in future One UI updates so there's absolutely no more reason to buy a Pixel with so-so Tensor processors or an overpriced iPhone with noisy night photos and mediocre, half-baked A.I.

I mean, what will I exactly do with this device that others can't?

Using s24u from last 4 months,
Guys when to expect updates (not security fixes monthly) but OS update.
Camera is still biggest weakness (I found it took pictures like 30k phones-currently in market)

MihaiRo, 21 Jun 2024S24U:The year is 2024 ,5000mAh battery capacity and 45 Watt... moreI guess it is due to battery they use. even other brand like apple cant maximize wattage to 45w cause they use LI-ion Battery unlike Chinese company they Use Li-polymer.
Li-ion has better life span that can take up to 10 years but has limit in wattage cause it is easy to catch fire thats why it is also much expensive cause manufacture add some safety measure in their battery.
Li-polymer has shorter lifespan but they can take higher wattage and they are much cheaper cause they are easy to made cause its much safer than Li-ion.

Anonymous, 19 Aug 2024Yeah, I don't really see how the S24U's screen is... moreWait for S25 Ultra. It will have rounded edges.

The S24 ultra has one of the best screens on the market, but that doesn't come without a price. Anti-reflection really helps a lot, but at the cost of noticeable greasing of the screen, as if the oleophobic layer doesn't exist at all. You can literally see even the smallest particle of dust and dirt and the screen has to be cleaned non-stop.

Mr. Anonymous, 19 Aug 2024The screen of s24u is currently one of the best on the mark... moreYeah, I don't really see how the S24U's screen is a downgrade over previous Ultras. I'm not a fan of curved displays because of glare, image distortion, accidental touches, and durability concerns. Applying tempered glass protectors are also a lot more complicated on curved screens because you need to shine UV light on the phone.

The only design aspect that Samsung could've improved is ergonomics. I'm a fan of boxier phones but the S24U is just way too boxy for its own good, those sharp corners really hurt your palms after prolonged usage. In my opinion, the Galaxy Note 9 was the perfect balance between rounded and boxy.

Anonymous, 18 Aug 2024I did regret not buying 23u or 22u over 24u ... the screen ... moreThe screen of s24u is currently one of the best on the market. It has an anti-reflective coating that reduces the glare and reflections on the screen, improving visibility in bright environments much better than any other phone.

When I reached home or didn't need them just placed them back to case. Very simple. And kept the case in my pocket. For sound quality it depends. Of course serious in ear monitors will sound superior. But most people who cry for headphone jack use some cheap useless wired earphones.
