Anyone who didn't want their profile picture screenshotted shouldn't use that as their profile picture to begin with! Everyone knows they shouldn't put stuff in a visible spot on the Internet that they don't want copied.

I could screenshot profile pictures before, of an ex-colleague and now friend, a woman I am in love with for 2 decades, but suddenly it was impossible. Whatsapp removed the feature due to privacy reasons, that's my guess. It's not because of the phone.

Bennis, 02 Jan 2025I have seen some people complain about more common problems... moreI have this phone for 2 months now, I don't have grainy screen, neither my battery drops quickly, mine lasts for almost day and a half, I do not play games, just watch You tube, social media, WhatsApp, browsing, Spotify, calls, texts. So, actually for me it's a beast of a phone not to mention the pictures I took of my vacation where fantastic, love the colors, sharpness, they were even better than my last phone did which by the way was a S22+. So, in conclusion I don't regret getting this phone. Each have different opinions, but that it's a matter of choice.

Anonymous, 04 Jan 2025It costs 2000 dollars, yet it can't screenshot WhatsAp... moreYou can't screenshot profile picture on WhatsApp because Meta the owner of (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and now WhatsApp) doesn't let you screen shot profile picture so does Facebook. I think I like that because it's more privacy for us. By the way, 2 months using this phone and it takes great, colorful pictures, and performance is awesome!

all here complaining about this phone either do not own one or cant afford one... using this phone from 11months & didnot face any single issue ppl are mentioning here in the forum, this phone is absolute winner in term of anything you can expect from a smartphone.

zhar, 03 Jan 2025please save your money, the screen is grainy when its low b... moreI can confirm that, i have the phone since the launch in february, the display is bad in comparison to S23U and S22U. I feel like the build quality is worse compared to the older series. The 10X zoom is still worse on the S24 Ultra compared to S23 Ultra after so many updates and fixes.

No overheating or grainy screen... not that I notice anyway. And the battery life is fantastic (I'm only using 70% of the battery too, as I keep it between 15%-85%).
I've only dropped the phone once (on a carpet), but there was no damage at all... I have it in a Spigen clear case.

please save your money, the screen is grainy when its low brightness, not as clear as s23u

About the grainy display, I can say that the display of S24U may be not so bright or so contrast if you do compare it with other OLED display (i.e I did it with my galaxy A8 2018), only when you compare it with other phones. Otherwise, you never ever see the grainy display. You have the perfecr display Samsung offer in 2024.
I think this is because the GG Armor which is less reflective (well i think GG Armor is kind matte display, just like matte screen protector) and this is not a faulty at all.

I have seen some people complain about more common problems with this phone, or rather the series.
Problems mentioned were: high overheating, grainy screen, fast battery discharge while doing common tasks, poor build quallity causing the phone to easily break apart if dropped
Are these still persistent problems with the phone, or are these more rare problems rather than common?

Guys, its bad to say
Even we have now OneUI 6.1, s24u still feels laggy sometime.
For camera I can say samsung improved much in s24u in shutter lag, but it is still way behind other devices like vivo x200pro and oppo find x8pro.
Please improve shutter lag dear samsung.

Silicon chip don't get much better lately
I thought 4.0 storage was meant to be twice as fast as
3.0 which is probably a lie I think the difference is smaller
Not much improvement basically
