Hopefully the testing comes out soon !

I feel like Samsung has kinda peaked with the S20 series.

    -1440p (1440 x 3200) resolution on all models
-SD Card slot on all models
-Best FE model, the S20 FE

However one of the biggest stand out feature for me is the size of the S20 Ultra, being still the biggest S Ultra phone, while the other one is the size of it's periscope lens, which is still the biggest on any Samsung phone with it's 1/2.0" size 48mp sensor, they were way ahead of the game with that, with other brands using 8,13mp sensors at around 1/3.0" size, except for the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra with the same periscope camera, but that one was hardly available anywhere, and didn't have an SD Card slot either.

They truly had no competition, yeah the S20 Ultra had auto focus issues, which they solved on the just as big Note 20 Ultra, but they took away the large periscope lens..

Why? Why aren't they standing out like back in 2020 with the S20 series? Where is that Samsung?

I wont list all the pros from this device. It's simply the best on the market. Period. Sou I'll focus on two main issues I'm facing since I bought it.
First, there's some wi-fi connection issues on my home network. Sometimes some apps behave like there is no connection. Searching about that I found that could be some kind of One UI bug since S22's One UI 5.
And my laptop just don't recognize it via USB port. I tried the USB debugging mode and other stuffs, with no success.

This site i... moreWell, I got an aweful bug with Poco F2 pro, with launcher becoming often unresponsive (couldn't selectively close an app, or maximize it) . But perhaps i's because I've installed a custom ROM from Xiaomi.eu (supposed to be the most reliable at this time). Also I saw a nasty bug with an OPPO with a message staying for 30 second, each time I closed all apps ("memory freed") . This was a bug linked to android 12 ... Never got such problems with Samsung, even with a custom Rom.

I had redmi note 8, redmi note 11 pro. Both my phones went downhill with software updates and factory reset didn't help. Maybe I wasn't lucky but my experience with xiaomi was bad. With huawei, samsung I never had issues like that. But overall all brands have something to offer and in the end competition is good for us. More great brands more great products.

For a major telecommunication company (it has two repeating vowels in its name). Huawei was by far the biggest problem for us. For every 10 Samsung sold, we sold 3 Huawei; however for every 1 Samsung coming back with issues, we had 3 Huawei back in with issues.

Apple remains the king of issues; that's partly because they sell the most and their biggest audience is 13 year old girls and 70 year old seniors - both those groups struggle with those phones. But in close second it's the brands you mentioned (in our shop, it's only Oppo, Huawei - no longer now and OnePlus - no longer now). I myself had a P20 Pro 5 years ago, which I sold after 2 months as it had tonnes of hiccups. I also had a X5 Pro 1 year ago (got it for free for advertising) and it was a nightmare.

So go ahead and adore the CCP phones; but understand that most of us prefer Google and Samsung, even if on paper they have lower specs.

This site is a good start to assemble your statistics about phone brands that launch phones working well from the first batch. I never had problems with OnePlus, Nokia, Xiaomi. No issues, the updates did nothing visible, they worked well. My friends, family members and aquintances never had issues with the same brands. Never. I might have gotten lucky. All the people I know are very lucky.

If people report less problem with other brands, it's just that less people use them. That vivid saturation bug looks quite basic to me. I'm unsure why Samsung doesn't hurry up to provide a fix, but I suppose there's a kind of schedule between each patch release. Additionaly, it's not a big problem, because colors are more accurate, in natural mode. Vivid mode is just some "eye candy".

Not Samsung fan anyway, but look what a disgrace the Galaxy has become. S24 Ultra gets close to 1-1.5 years old phones in terms of photo quality. Dxomark tells the story. 18-th place. Ahead one place of Huawei P50 pro, 2 years old phone. And for this phone Samsung asks 1350€ and 1300$. And what is with these software and hardware issues? They released the phone under the assumption that all the issues will be fixed while the first batch is distributed across continents and after the first boot it will install the fixes so no one will notice. People pay a lot of money for performance. When a phone costs more than a good laptop or a tv set (that have a life of few years), it looks like a ripoff to get a device that needs fixed through software. Some things cannot be really fixed without compromising some performance. The question is, how can others launch devices that work well from the first batch?
