On the Sony A7RV that would be a 6MP image. Not the best, but certainly more usable than an S23 Ultra or S24 Ultra where the source image is much lower resolution and much lower magnification.

After a week of using device. Certainly disappointed. Doesn't feel like a premium. It's so damn laggy. Network keeps dropping where my A34 works like a charm. Loading a simple gifs or images online In what's app taes like forever where my A34 is like snappy. Battery is worst my A34 battery gets to 70% at 4 in evening and 24U drops to 40%. Samsung! It's a downgrade for a premium price.... not good.

On the s23 ultra you can't use 4-9x zoom very well. On the s24 ultra everything up until 10x zoom is better. Even 10x zoom is similar to the s23u. There's no loss to this, 10x is a gimmick if there's no 5x.

A 2x digital zoom (assuming you enlarge, with interpolation), doesn't significately degrade image qualty. You might see a more obvious difference with a 20x zoom.

Trading 10x zoom for a 5x is an evil move. Yes its a bigger sensor but not big enough for 10x lossless zoom. There's already a dedicated 3x telephoto, so having another telephoto so close in zoom is utterly pointless. 10x zoom is what made this series of phone so unique and useful. But now there's no reason to buy this over Xiaomi, OnePlus, apple etc.
None educated cares about 8k zoom videos, especially the fake one coming from a quad Bayer sensor. 10x optical zoomed 4k video is superior anyday.

S24 ultra is not as successful as compared to s23 ultra
There are many issue with s24 ultra
1- camera is not upto the mark specially 100x zoom is pathetic and many more
2-battery backup is also average and not huge improvement
3- charging speed is still slowest
4- performance is not upto the mark its like snapdragon 8 gen 2
5- still 4 nm based snapdragon 8 gen 3 but not optimised fully yet
6-boxy design and sharp corner feels difficult to hold for long time
7-Ai features is limited till 2025

I found it a bit strange, I am a light phone user so I usually set the fast charging to "off" as I charge phone overnight. I found that even I set fast charging to off and using the same charger from my S23 ultra, the charging time of this S24 ultra is almost 30-40% faster than my S23 ultra, both setting of fast charging is "off".
