when to expect OneUI 7 for s24u series?

- Hope they improve shutter lag
- Better camera

Battery I already see it is degrading within 8 months, at night I am getting around 20% remaining after very moderate or can say less use.

I can confirm this is the case
Older phones still go hard man
and ive heard so much good about the s24u
Im hoping that will be my last samsung when i get it and then move on to oppo/oneplus

I've seen couple of vids on YouTube where they were able to remove the camera rings on the S25 Ultra which is not the case on the S24 Ultra. I compared both at a Samsung store & for me the S24 looks & feels much better than the S25.

My A8 2018 is still smooth for scrolling, but it takes 2–3 seconds to open apps. It is still on Oreo, even though there is an update to Pie. That is why I believe my S24U will last for years (and maybe be my last Samsung).

Still waiting for Android 15 UI 7.0, I read that it might take another month to come out. While all S25 line already has it. Why do they need to make more tests to it, if S25 has it already on the phone.

Anonymous, 05 Feb 2025Why would one do that? None detach their rear camera ring on the S25 Ultra, but over time, the glue loses its strength, causing it to detach.

These two things you mentioned are the only meaningful changes for the better, the rest is pure gimmick/cosmetics which by the way is not entirely accurate. The screen on the S25U is the same last year's M13 (with production errors corrected) that is on the S24U and the new M14 is built into Apple's 16 series. (This is becoming a regular Samsung practice).

S25U: The rear camera rings are attached with glue, so they can be detached with a cutter.
S24U: The rear camera rings are not.

SAM, 04 Feb 2025If he gets a phone which is as good as the latest offering ... moreMy response was to the reply that said the only thing that is different in the S25 Ultra is the SoC and and the Ultra Wide lens. Which is incorrect. Not about a person buying the S24 Ultra over the S25 Ultra. Nothing is wrong with that. Everyone has their own preferences and requirements. I could not care less what phone a person buys. That is their own decision.

Of course I could have clarified this in my response. But that is my own fault for just making a quick one sentence remark. If anyone took it the wrong way, then I apologize.

                                      Some other differences are...
The S25 Ultra has seamless updates. The S24 Ultra does not.
The S25 Ultra has grade 5 Titanium. The S24 Ultra has Grade 2 titanium.
The S25 Ultra has Corning Gorilla Armor 2. The S24 Ultra has Corning Gorilla Armor 1.
The S25 Ultra has a better anti-reflective coating than the S24 Ultra.
The S25 Ultra has a better OLED screen than the S24 Ultra.
The S25 Ultra has rounded corners. The S24 Ultra corners are squared.
The S25 Ultra is also lighter than the S24 Ultra.
The S25 Ultra is Qi2 charging capable, when used with an appropriate case. The S24 Ultra has Qi charging.
The S25 Ultra has a 6.9 inch display. The S24 Ultra has a 6.8 inch display.
The S25 Ultra has no Bluetooth in the SPen. The S24 Ultra has BT in the SPen.

Again, my point was that the SoC and the wide angle lens are not the only differences between the S25 Ultra and the S24 Ultra. Which they are clearly not.

aaronwt, 03 Feb 2025You know that is not correct. If he gets a phone which is as good as the latest offering and saves some money for future investments, what's wrong in it??? Just because you like something & can afford it, doesn't go with everyone.
