Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra

I am here to write about my personal daily usage of the S24U. I do all my work with this S24U, but I am not a gamer. This is not a review, though.
1. The **Weight:** I am not surprised by the size and "original" weight; I knew it before buying. I do feel it is a good fit for my hands. I bought an authentic standing grip case from Samsung, and I am surprised that the weight becomes 300 grams. I feel it is heavy now, lol.
The case protects it very well, preciously, although it makes the S24U thicker and heavier. The camera is now shrunken in.
2. The Display. Please trust me, I am still finding faults (i.e., grainy display). I did all the tests but could not find it in mine.
I also compared it with my forever A8 (2018). At the same level of brightness, the white of the S24U display is not-so-white; the A8 is whiter.
I cannot find the difference between the vivid and normal modes, although the slider makes it a bit different.
I do not like Adaptive Color and Eye Shield, so I turn these OFF.
3. The battery is okay. The Anker 60W charger plus Anker 3A max. 60W cable needs 150 minutes (less than 3 hours), but the same charger plus Ugreen 5A max. 100W cable needs 65 to 70 minutes. I charged from 0% empty to 100%..
I turn the battery saver, battery protection and bettery features OFF.
4.The camera. I have no issues at all. I realize that the result may not be the best, but the photos are consistently fine in any condition. The still photos may not be everyone's cup of tea because of Samsung's characteristic dramatic effect. Thankfully, Samsung made this a bit more natural this time.
5. The performance and Galaxy AI are fine.
Lastly, what I hate is that the S Pen makes the bottom frame of the S24U not completely flat.
Peace.

Darren, 19 Mar 2024Almost everywhere! Australia, Canada, UK, UAE etc ... I re... moreI have checked UK pricing and 1TB version costs 1,549.00 pounds in official samsung website + free disney+ and 10 bucks voucher on galaxy store. That's no where near 2000 bucks you mentioned. I think you are buying from overpriced resellers. I think you thought that fold series is the same as s24 ultra. Fold is usually more pricey.
S24 ultra 1 TB version in Australia official samsung website costs 1,827.68 US dollars. Still under 2000 bucks you mentioned. Are you counting in monopoly dollars?

I don't understand people looking for nice pictures with a phone camera!? Buy a 35mm camera, and you're done! All the magic is in the lens - the bigger the better...

Samsung must use excellent exynos in all Samsung mobiles as flag, midrange and budget mobiles. Exynos is made by Samsung and works well in Samsung mobiles. Exynos is less expensive and better . I prefer exynos.

Anonymous, 19 Mar 2024Where s24 u costs 2000 bucks?Almost everywhere! Australia, Canada, UK, UAE etc ... I returned that garbage within 2 weeks i bought! A big let down in grainy sh**ty display and then garbage camera with third class video. lol! Only thing i liked was portrait mode. That's it! Occasional hiccups in UI couldn't give me the enjoyable software experience i wanted. Just bought an IPhone 15Pm.. Could't be happier. The only phone that actually deserves its money in premium segment.

Do not buy it! Grainy screen issues is real! Different extent for everyone, some are worse. Mine I can see the grainy below 80% brightness at a 18cm distance. Compared it vs flip5 side by side. S24U screen is abosolutely trash. Like something you will see from a random brand's 200 dollar phone.

[deleted post]Truth. The grainy screen is garbage, you only see it on 300 dollar phones. According to samsung.ca, the screen repair fee for s23u is 340+ cad while for s24u is 290cad. Garbage screen. They skipped the demura process during production, absolutely defects.

Overall it's not a huge upgrade from s23 ultra except on paper faster chip, anti glare screen. For me using naked it's downside flat screen. Hard to use compared to slightly bent sides

7 years of usage? Of course it can be. S8/S8+ is now 7 years age and the phones is still fine for daily usage. Only few games that need power may not fit in but we can set the setting to low mode in S8 series. Good luck S24U and its family.

[deleted post]I think you're the kind of annoying people that bring Android to a new low. You must have thought I despite Android, but no, you're dead wrong, I support Android to my fullest.
It's you, the kind of people that can't even understand English properly, with your big mouth and ego telling other people to shut up. I assume you're the same person replying to my comment in S23Ultra, is it correct?

[deleted post]First of all, I use Android not iPhone,
Secondly:
Actually, I'm not saying he is completely sane and correct, but this guy has a point, for him at least, the phone did not perform well on first receival, and he immediately opt out and get an iPhone, which works Immediately to his expectations.
Think about it, suppose he wanted to give s24u another chance, what is he going to say when he exchange the phone? The camera sucks? Screen Grainy? Like that is going to make the manufacturer say "hmm, yes that's definitely a problem" because it is difficult to prove and to believe what he said, even if he were correct. First impression is very important, and with the stigma that sticks with "Android phone", this is even more important.
