at first sight and after 24 hours of use the phone doesn't show any changes, it seems like you have an s23 ultra in my opinion I was wrong to buy and I could have kept the s23 ultra... in fact in some aspects it's worse, for example the speakers sound a step below and the voice during phone calls seems worse to me so evaluate before buying

The edges are too sharp and squarish. Too boxy. UGLY. Phones nowadays have stylish rounded corners,

does it have satellite communications of any sort ? even if only 911/112 sms messages and location sharing for cruical family members when you are in emergency and you got absolut zero signal (rural forests and so on many such places)

Youtubers are telling that AI features can be used offline.
But samsung official website is telling that AI features need active internet connection and all AI features can be used for free till 2025, after that subcription plans might come.
Thinking of buying but kind of confused, lol.

so Disappointed as I usually upgrade every year but I am boycotting S24u and keeping my s23u as its a downgrade in my books in terms of camera.
IDK why Samsung choose to be a copycat with 5x Optical and follow Apple & Google and destroy their own industry leader innovations in 10x Periscope Optical lens. Plenty of paid influencers on youtube will say the new 10x is great but reality is none of them will doared show camera comparison for Long range zoom beyond 30x in detail as reality is 5x optical cannot compete with the old s23u 10x optical for any Zoom beyond 30x!
You cannnot beat law of Physics no matter how much BS software is applied. Instead of tring to improve the 10X optical zoom thats been the same for last 3 years they decide to drop it lol. IDK who in their right frame of mind would give their King o Zoom title away and squader to be a copycat instead, same thing they did with Z Fold's from industry leader in foldable with original Z Fold to now virtually pariah in Z Fold 5 as no one sees the benefit of their pitiful upgrades over the yearsdes, and follow Apple blindly :(
At the very least Samsung should have 50MP 6x Optical Zoom with larger sensor like the new Oppo Find X7 Ultra.
No surprise Samsung has lost its title in terms of largest shipment of Smartfones behind Apple in 2023; While the Chinese Manufacturers like Honor (e.g V2 Magic) and Huawei making huge improvements in terms of hardware innovations and sales. For the record I am not a Fanboi of those do not buy those handsets due to software but now I am considering buying Oneplus Open as Samsung is just a disappointing stale mate last few years just churning same design since s21 and Z Fold 2; mostly same hardware with minor changes only these days and decides to be an Apple/Google Fanboi copycat e.g copy Titanium frame lol and lots of AI BS Marketing from Google very sad company now :(

preordered the titanium blue in Aus. very excited! unfortunately, the dual wireless charger and the 45w charger were sold out so I got 6 cases and a screen protector instead. bought the 45w charger separately. this will be my first Samsung phone since S8 (been using Oppo since then).

Bobm, 24 Jan 2024No phone upgrade of only one generation is worth the money ... moreI used to only get refurb phones. Then, starting with the Galaxy S6, I started getting new ones. And replaced it every two years. Then, with the S21, I started buying on a one year cycle, So I could maximize my trade in value.
Every Galaxy S phone I have owned since the S6, has been better than the previous version. The phones are not that expensive. Plus I save a bunch of money by not being on post paid cellular (currently on US Mobile for $23 a month). That $70 or so a month I save more than covers me getting a new Galaxy S phone every year. As long as Samsung keeps having generous trade in deals, I will continue getting a new Galaxy S phone every year

Bobm, 24 Jan 2024Uhh...... The S24 phones have wireless charging. I was responding to the person that said wireless charging was a useless feature. I have an S24 Ultra already ordered, to replace my S23+. But, any phone that does not have wireless charging? I will not even consider using it.

Smartphone are pretty mature tech now. There just isn't enough technology change in 1 year to justify an upgrade. Probably not even every 2 years for most people. Upgrading from a 23 to a 24 is for nothing but bragging rights (or advertising your gullibility. S22 to 23 was the same. So was s21 to 22.... So is iPhone 14 to 15, 13 to 14.....
