Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge's battery capacity confirmed through certification
Samsung's Galaxy S25 Edge is coming next month, and recently we've had a leak discussing its dimensions, weight, screen and bezel size, while earlier today we got some pricing to talk about. In the meantime, Samsung itself has promised that durability won't be an issue.
But what about battery life? The S25 Edge has multiple times so far been rumored to arrive with the smallest battery in the S25 family, smaller even than the S25's. And now this has unfortunately been confirmed through a certification in Denmark.
This reveals the fact that the S25 Edge will ship with a battery having a rated capacity of 3,786 mAh, which will translate into a marketed typical capacity of 3,900 mAh. And that is in fact 100 mAh less than what the much smaller Galaxy S25 got.
So, with this in mind, battery life clearly won't be among the S25 Edge's selling points. The 5.84mm thickness that was reached by sacrificing some longevity, on the other hand, will be the main one.
According to past rumors and leaks, the S25 Edge will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, paired with 12GB of RAM. It will have a 120 Hz refresh rate screen and support for 25W wired charging. There will only be two cameras on the rear, of which the main one will have 200 MP resolution.
