Darth Verde, 12 Jan 2025If you actually used your phone properly, with most things ... moreThis is 100% accurate. I can buy 1TB, many times over for $50 retail price. All three companies took away our memory card option and then sell us storage for 10x the price. Its disgusting. All of them. Apple. Samsung. You name it.

Sivazz, 11 Jan 2025So, what's the point of an SD card if you've got ... moreIf you actually used your phone properly, with most things it has to offer, 256 GB is nothing. Someone who uses their phone to record videos, shooting lots of pics, emulating consoles, playing games or using heavy apps to work will run out of storage within a month. It is only acceptable if you're a really basic user (and even then you'll run out of storage in a couple of years). 512 GB should be the new lowest for the ultra. 1 TB is okay, but it's ridiculously expensive (which is part of their strategy to not let you buy additional storage for cheap) and it doesn't come with ram upgrade nor exclusive colors.
That is, if you waive the extreme convenience of micro SD cards, which allows you to storage terabytes of data in a really small card, run apps from it instead of your internal storage and have everything you need at hand without relying on internet and cloud.

Sivazz, 11 Jan 2025So, what's the point of an SD card if you've got ... moreFor portability and security. With sd card I can move my data to other device faster like laptop or camera or something, without rely on internet connection of cloud. Imagine you have private photos and videos you don't want anyone see, I mean uploading to cloud mean someone must have seen it can can possibly leak it (remember Apple employee once did this to a customer).
And in case of emergency if the phone broken for some reason I still got my data back and rapidly use it on another phone. That's it. It's more convenient for me that way

SomeSong, 08 Jan 2025bring back the SD card and headphone jack!Headphone jacks are less useful now that most people use TWS or Bluetooth neckbands, right? I guess the main reason to keep them is the super low latency, but even that's improved a lot in TWS lately.

I definitely could purchase a phone like this but based from what I know of this chipset (Snapdragon 8 Elite / SG4), this one is power-hungry.
We'll see how SMASNUG play this one out with their "optimization."

Arry, 11 Jan 2025I even quickly found 2 models available right now for a lit... moreA mobile form factor. You are not taking your mobile desktop with you out in the world to do more with it. Are you using it as a GPS? A camera? A mobile hotspot for your laptop? Are you taking it whale watching? Camping? With you to sporting events? You do realize how powerful these things are in a small form factor, right? Are they overpriced? A company has to make money to stay in business and be innovative. Samsung should be applauded for it's efforts and rewarded. Does it make some cheap moves like putting underperforming chips in it's midrange devices when it probably shouldn't? Sure. Should it bring a fan edition with headphones jack for those of us who cannot tolerate Bluetooth? Yes. MicroSD card slots? Yes. They can make better strategic, crowd pleasing cost cutting measures. And they should.

Anonymous, 11 Jan 2025some people complaining about those small missing features ... moreI fully agree lol. These people do and say anything but buying them. All they have in their hands are 90-dollar chinese rip-off phones that couldn't even last a year in their usage or even 2 hours in battery talks.
They kept saying 5000mAh is not enough yet they're also complaining about the design, the thickness and the size being too large or too sharp. They keep on going like this every year but whenever a battery test came out Samsung someho always came out being the most efficient out of all (Remember S10/21/3/4 series) then they'll go "Samsung has the worst animations that's why they won"
They can't afford something but talked like they have it. That's the mindset those internet "smarties & richies" are always going for.

How can smartphone manufacturers ask such an insane price for an incomparable level of hardware and capabilities in a 6.9" case?!
