And can use the Verizon, TMobile, and ATT networks, here in the US. No matter what network I use, I still get my updates every month. No idea for sure though. I just know I get my updates quickly, no matter which network I am using.

    From Samsung's own website:

    "Updates for unlocked firmware and locked firmware goes to your carrier. Your carrier determines when to post the update to their update servers. Your phone reads the update server settings from your carrier's SIM card when the SIM card is inserted. It looks at that server for all updates."

    Or what does this mean exactly????

In all that time, the only issue I have ever run into was a microphone that became intermittent, on one cell phone. And that was years ago, when I used refurbished cell phones. Any device, no matter the cost or manufacturer can have issues. This is nothinng new. There will always be a certain percentage of devices that have issues. No matter who makes them.

        EDIT: I just checked and I have another update on my S24 Ultra.. Today January 25th. And it is installing right now. This has been the norm with all my unlocked Galaxy S phones over the years. One or two or more updates every month.

        And I expect my S25 Ultra will be the same way.

          I have gotten 0 updates in 1 full year!!!

          I am STUCK at Android 14 and One UI 6.1.
          Wasn't there supposed to be One UI 6.1.1???

          I have an unlocked phone, because I wanted a fully empty phone.
          If I don't get Android 15, when it's released, then I am done with Samsung phones.

          My Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 1TB version was 1850€.
          Very expensive and I have still not gotten updates.
          WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!

          My Vivo X100 Ultra 1TB version is cheaper, has better cameras and gets updates without any difficulty.

                I think Samsung use a memory type ZUFS 4.0 (Zoned Universal Flash Storage)
                This is a more advanced type of standard UFS 4.0 memory.

Whether this year, next year, 7 years from now, all OS updates are almost the same. What's wrong with the craziest samsung community . Minimum Android 11 to get the same Playstore. Fear of trivial, meaningless anger causes the ability to think to decrease.

Maybe you can say Samsung's phone are stuck at S23U, because this phone was a huge upgrade over S22U in the most important areas: cameras (S23U got a better wide and selfie), battery (S22U battery was horrible) and performance, which in turn was also a huge uprade over S21U and S20U.

                            a beautiful product, no doubt about it however, in my case there appears to be very little
                            merit in moving up from the Sansung Galaxy S24 Ultra.
                            What's left us completely gobsmacked was Samsungs removal of bluetooth from the S-pen.
                            Please dont tell us that's a good step moving forward
                            I reckon that alone will p*** off many loyal customers.

                              I can't update my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and now I have seen that Android 15 isn't coming yet.

                              You Samsung fanboys pay for what?
                              Garbage???

                              I still haven't got any updates.
                              I haven't even got the latest security updates even.

                              I have an unlocked phone and I know they get updates way later, but I have gotten 0 updates in 1 full year!!!!

                              What is this?
                              I also have the 1TB version.
                              It was expensive!!!
                              If I don't get Android 15 automatically soon, I am done with Samsung.

                                  Promising 7 years of software support to increase the overall sales across the globe... one fine day (may be in 2-3 yrs) after updating to latest software you get green line on the screen or any major issue occurs, what will you all do as the phone manufacturing warranty is only for 12months... will have to pay to get it fixed or buy a new phone... they (manufaturers) have complete control of device that they sell...
