Amazing phone. Samsung should provide 5.1 or 6.0 update. Still amazing. But fingerprint scanner is useless.

Anonymous, 08 Mar 2016Is it okay to buy a samsung galaxy s5 this year? is it worthy?I just bought a used Galaxy S5 off of eBay and I love it. Much more versatile than my iPhone5 and the iPhone 4 before that.
Love the larger screen, the ability to add an microSD card (I put in a 128gb card) and the ability to change batteries. Contacts were easy to transfer using SmartSwitch, all the apps are the same and like that I don't have to stop iTunes from synching when I connect the phone to my computer and the S5 has a lot of features that the iPhones don't -- like the SmartLock feature which prevents the phone from locking when you're in your house (location has to be activated) or in your pocket.
Should have switched a long time ago but I am always a LATE adopter. Hate the idea of paying $600-700 for a phone. Only did that once to buy the iPhone 4. Waited 2 years to buy the iPhone 5 and the S5; both for around $200. Don't like that you can't change the battery in the S7 Edge but will probably buy 1 in a couple of years when the cost of used ones drops to around $200 as well.

Anonymous, 08 Mar 2016This phone is horrible not only after having it less than a... moreThose pop ups means you have a nice colony of viruses residing in your S5 :D Try a factory reset, if it does not help, you'll need to re-flash the software.
