Guys i have galaxy alpha and i want to buy s5. Do you think is good choise for today the gs5 model becouse is a litlw old mobile f9r today but i bilieve it is powerfull and better than alpha. I want to keep s5 minimum two years if finaly buy it. Do you think is a good choice from alpla to gs5 or i must go to more expensive choices like gs6?? I think that s5 is still powerfull and it will be ok for 2 years. Please help should i upgrade or not???

Gamers are going to love this feedback.
My S5 is running Lollipop 5.0. It's on power saving mode with with background data restriction enabled. I downloaded the brand new Dead Effect 2 which was released a few days ago, from the Playstore. In reading the comments from others who dowloaded it from the Playstore reviews, a few persons said it crashed or wouldn't load etc. especially if the maxed out the graphics/3D settings due to hardware limitation on their phones...People with HTC flagships like the One M8 etc. complained a lot!!!
All of the CPU-cores on my S5 are running at 500MHZ which means it's running at less than half the original clockspeed due to the power saving mode with the 'limit CPU speed' enabled. I was suprised at how smooth the game runs even with all the graphics settings maxed out. They are all on Extreme etc. I have experienced no lagging, no hang-ups, no crashing and no funny behaviour whatsoever which speaks volumes about the power of the Galaxy S5. A friend of mine who is running Dead Effect 2 on iOS has to set his graphics/3D settings to medium otherwise the game will crash. The S5 is a POWERHOUSE even if it doesn't seem that way at times.

Android 5.1.1 win ... just check out CyanogenMod, up to date there ... plus less clutter, more customizeability ... would expect 6.0 to be out not too long down the road ... nearly all Smartphone makers (apart from Google with the pure Nexus phones) lose out on updates, it's not a moneymaker for them, just cost ...

I agreed, Even to the extend i press the On/Off switch in order to lock, and I still failed to hear the volume many times, as it sudden the volume has lost it sound. Only when i use the phone to check the time, i see "missed call", not once but many times it happen, and still happen. Even if it is "Missed sms" seem ok afterall it sound once, but for "missed calls" this is absurd. What more is that normal ring will be at least for 30 second !!! For 30 second doing nothing still "missed calls" it is so funny...

Now one S5 giving a lot of problem from the beginning, model SM-G901F 16GB. The game developer said that that model have screen graphic issue and not same as SM-G900F 32GB. Then the developer had to create an update to fix that problem only.
Spec wise A8 that is close to Note 4 spec. Spec wise = see no touch...

A8 replace Note 4 no stock?? Actually, in the beginning it already have problem and Samsung Service Center refuse to comment !!! My favorite game developer said S5 screen graphic is too unique to which they had to fix this problem for only S5 SM-G901F

steve, 29 Oct 2015my question is the samsung galaxy s5 water resistant Not totally and their measurement is about finger depth and very short time in the water. It always tell you to close the battery cover and back case. But if you regularly charge the phone, say once every 2 - 3 days, will the battery cover really cover tight to prevent water. Now after 1 year, the battery cover auto open by itself. But other phone do not need the cover but can do water test as the battery without cover itself is secured.

Gabes, 30 Oct 2015How does one change the default storage from the device to ... moreDon't think this will save storage space. All apps have their program running inside the OS hidden partition. Save to; it is like a temp space for apps to run when it need. This is similar to Windows (now Android follow) do have use external flash ram to act as extra space to run the programs. Just a link to have extra ram &or memory space, and do not save much space at all.
