Sdk, 10 Jun 2015S5 was or is not popular because of its looks or appearanc ... moreHi,its not cheaper than A7 in South Africa not sure in other countries.I had to choose from A7 and S5 I went for the S5. My next phone will be a S6 when my upgrade is due that's if Samsung don't have S7 or S8 ill decide then but thanks guys.

It is supposed to be waterproof. I used it in the rain during a GPS hike. I used an umbrella, but still, the S 5 got a bit wet because my hands and everything was a bit wet. I had to dry my fingers and the screen each time I had to type in new gps coordinates. After a while the S 5 went crazy, flickering and no longer reacting and I could not use it anymore. Others tried to call me, but no call came through. After some hours in my pocket and a restart, the S 5 worked again, but even deep inside the menu things were changed, like the time settings from 24 H to AM/PM. This was a bad water test, just a bit of rain and the S 5 went crazy and stopped alltogether.

looking plasticky and definitely not looking flagship.But its quality of performance or features were never question ed or commented.And now it is available very cheap,so if you want to buy , buy it now.

This device looks v... moreA7 is a fairly new phone but users are still having heating problems etc.I'm not worried about looks its performance I'm worried about. S6 is a more expensive phone than a A7 although its the slimmest phone made by Samsung ever.well I had to choose from a A7 & S5 I'm buying a S5.

AnonD-404004, 07 Jun 2015My S5 heats up a lot and the battery drainage is very fast.... moreDisable the apps that you dont need..!! Try keeping the data connection off when not needed... Don't keep useless apps running in the background...

well i have heard about samsung s5 battery drained so fast and heating so quickly the only way to solve this problem is do not upgrade your android or lolipop till android 5.0 Maybe

...no problem at all, im using it a year ago n no problem with this..
only the peoblem is the side.plastic body...if you drop it with the hight of your bed the plastic will damaged n then it will not being a waterproof..other wise this mobile is beast.

The s5 is also a good phone. Its waterproof and all but i did not like the design
