Just had a 294.XMB (or there about ) stability update, it is downloading now..I went to check manually for software updates and it said update available.I am on proper Lollipop now not the polish ROM I installed earlier .This update could have been their a while because i always like to authorise stuff even apps to see what's going on.
Have not been on the forum for a while so other folk may already have got it.
S6 is not far now and it entered the daily hits chart now.

Nothing beats built-in features and the S5 gives you so much out of this world features out of the box that really and truly you don't really need to download anything from the appstore...but then there's the ability and luxury to download from the Android market if you feel like pushing things to the limit or if you crave for more apps. The S5 is said to be the best Android smartphone that money can buy and it's not a hype statement. I will continue enjoying my flashy super smartphone known as the Samsung Galaxy S5!

i flashed the new update (PDA: BOA3) a few days ago and everytime i boot my phone (restart or turned off) i am experiencing a little lag, probably some apps are just starting up, but after a little while it runs buttery smooth and apps opens much faster compared to Android 4.4.2 also compared to the previous Android Lollipop build this ones much stable, before everytime i restart my phone i get an a message about the system not responding and it's long gone now... one thing i've noticed though, my battery seems to drain a bit faster now, i've read some reviews on the internet that with the first few days it'll go like that but once the system is well optimized you'll notice some battery improvements, and i hope that's true. over all the new build is good, i'll give it 8.5 out of 10.

I mean, i have a LG G3 with my S5, when there's an update then the reboot rehashing apps, despite the dozen of apps i have installed with defaut ones, it doesn't say more than 130 for S5. On my G3 with almost NO apps installed, i noticed today that it's saying 161 (and i have removed a few default ones)...
So guess which phone is more bloated, just saying.
Now about N5, i won't enter the eternal debate that "i ve seen my colleague's one lagging" (even he said it himself without asking him about speed when he updated to LP..).
All i can say is that, you put some empty rom (meaning vanilla rom) from XDA or GP edition on a S5 and you will see the phone skyrocketing your N5. Just think, be smart and be fair and compare apples to apples if you want to discuss.
Now on S5 like the precedent mate just said, it does MUCH more than any Nexus by DEFAULT out of the box. Won't enter the details, but if you need to come in to brag your N5, we don't see the point, keep your empty phone for yourself. I don't need to install shady apps/launchers to get touchwizz functions for my daily usage.
(I mean a simple "pickup-vibration" app is already crap from google play...). That's why i stick to Samsung phones.

But then the Nexus 5 doesn't have the superior features (gestures sensors and more) that Samsung has. My S5 runs fast and fine. Not laggy for me. Furthermore I enjoy having a Memory Card Slot as well as removable battery. It's a win win situation for me.

Had the S5 and the nexus 5 and you can clearly tell the S5 is a lot more laggy then the N5 and you can only blame samsung and their bloatware for that not android.

It definitely is a bit laggy in compare to the Ipone 6. But that is not a Samsung issue, it is an Android issue and Android uses Java and Java is laggy so there is no hope.
But, it is still a good phone all round.

Always AMOLED (OLED) are better .. clear black .. clear whites .. vivid .. punchy and more brighter colours than old and dull LCD colours ..

Try moving most apps possible to SD card that will help for those with problems
Looks like 2 gb ram of S5 is not enough

Well the S3 got killed with the kitkat update where it kept lagging wanting more processor power. Nothing can fix that.
The s5 COULD be on that route too if Samsung dont fix it.
The note series are the only ones that handle samsungs firmware well but who knows what the Loilpop will bring to that series
A little help does come with using Nova launcher and disabling some google apps which you dont use

i have updated my S5 to Android Lollipop and did a factory reset but compared to Android 4.4.2 it's still not as stable. there's jitters and a little bit of lag and i hope this will be fixed on the next update, and i wish that will be 5.1 haha

I took some pictures of sunset at around 5 PM from Galaxy S5. Does it affects the camera? Camera is working fine but i've read some articles about it, pointing the camera at sun cause damage to lens?

It was perfectly fine before on kitkat since release with small speeds improvements with the 2 previous updates if i remember correctly.
I don't really care much anyway about lollipop since i intend to switch to S6 when it comes out in 2 months. I only hope Samsung will not have thrown away too many options of touchwizz or then...
