Hi all,
I updated my s5 to lollipop few days back out of curiosity. First, there is no huge difference in the interface, KitKat was just doing fine. Secondly, The 'MUTE' option is gone which is pretty annoying. If you are having a conversation and the phone is in your hand, it keeps vibrating on every message. At times I wanted to put it to completely mute. Instead they have give option of setting 'Vibration Intensity'. But for that you have to go to Settings and change every time. Pretty annoying for me.
One more thing, after update, my battery got drained in just 9 hours, with nearly no usage at all. Did a factory reset and turned off all 'Analytical Data Sending' features, Now its back to normal.
Lastly, loads of space is utilized by OS. So you don't really see much space to play around.
Rest all is ok.
Nothing special.
I think, KitKat people shall wait for a stable Lollipop update because downgrade is not possible without voiding the warranty.
The phone is awesome indeed.

It will solve most of the problems after update like battery life & lag! Battery will drain quickly after updating to lollipop and factory reset. Do a couple of full charges (0% to 100%) 10-15 times then it will be normal!

Anonymous, 02 Feb 2015Don't be fooled by the "wireless changing" claim ... moreYes, wireless charging feature is optional and should be written as it in specs (same for S4). But for 40$ you don't get only the back cover Qi enabled but also the charging plate.
To those interested, the Qi back cover makes the phone a bit thicker (overall thickness gets same as the camera) and i'm not sure but it only exists in black.

Don't be fooled by the "wireless changing" claim in the Features section. While the Nexus 5 (my first and cheaper choice) includes wireless charging built in, the S5 requires a $40 alternate battery cover to enable wireless charging.
Otherwise, VERY pleased with this phone.

Try checking regularly with Kies software or with sammobile website.

Is the Lollipop update available for the Europe version of the phone? Also, if my phone is locked to a career will I be able to update it?

man, 01 Feb 2015I like lolipop, but sliding pages on homescreen is laggy so... moreit cuz of stupid ui (touchwiz) the worst ui ever it so laggy but the phone awesome hope sammy use another ui :)

Guys please help... i have my s5 for 2 months and it is awesome . But after upgrading to lolipop im facing some issues : it became pretty laggy ( i have almost whole memory free) and i think my battery drains faster . Have any of you some advice ? long live samsung :D

I had this phone for like a week now, and I updated to lollipop the day I bought it ., battery life is good and I love the new user interface , it's so so tasty like lollipop. The only thing they should fix here is make the apps showing running apps pop up faster when u tap the left hand soft key , when that is done which I believe they can fix with an update this phone will even be better
